Urwerk Creates Unique UR-103 Phoenix for Only Watch
Master watchmaker and Urwerk co-founder Felix Baumgartner proudly announces Urwerk’s presence at Only Watch 2011. As an expression of commitment to the Only Watch cause, Urwerk will be auctioning the UR-103 Phoenix, a unique timepiece made of white gold and hand-decorated by master engraver Jean-Vincent Huguenin, one of the most gifted artists in this field. Only Watch is the charity auction to benefit research into Duchenne muscular dystrophy held in Monaco on September 22 under the patronage of HSH Prince Albert II. Fascinated by universal legends, Jean-Vincent did not take long to decide on the theme for this piece. In recognition of all those engaged in the battle to save children from muscular dystrophy, the UR-103 bears the quintessential symbol of resistance and resilience: a phoenix rising from the flames. In our daily lives we all have objects that are slightly talismanic, says watch artist and Urwerk co-founder Martin Frei. We love to have them at our side, in touchin
Advice on my next AP purchase
Hello TRF Members,I currently own the ROO platinum chrono (44). I love it. Awesome wrist presence, but it is a tad heavy. I have the following on order & due in soon. ROO 26405CE.00.A002CA.02 (44 Black/gold) & the RO 15400 white. I have a 8 1/4 wrist so the 15202 (39) is too small. What are your thoughts on my next purchase?I'm thinking RO perp calendar in stainless/blue, but I appreciate the wisdom of the board!
AP ROO bed experience
Hi guys,I am new on this forum and in the same time new fun of Rolex watch. For a long time I was a very big fun of AP ROO but I want to tell my story maybe help new AP ROO funs!! I want to tell only last 2 bed story with AP ROO because is very much to tell....In June I buy from a AD an AP ROO Jarno Trulli. I like very much carbon and cermet combo. The watch are pre-owned so I send the watch to RO&RO Wien who are AP authorized service to make a complete overhaul. After 3 week the watch come back with complete overhaul due. I pay 1460.But I see the watch have+ 20-30 sec/day so I send it back to adjust the watch! After another 3 week they send me back the watch and tell the watch are ok but the watch work same +30 sec/day! And again I send it back to adjust! In the mean time I buy it a new AP ROO 42 mm rose gold in Friday 19.08.2016 from a different AD. I make my self a gift for my birdsday. In 22.08.2016 I go back because the watch work +40 sec/day!!!AD tell me he can change my watch
Incoming: Its "Huuuuge!"
This watch makes the Rolex Deepsea feel light as a feather. Love the finish of the dial but hefty little watch!
5146G - Cream or Slate
So it's time for my next Patek. I have decided on the 5146G but I can't decide on the dial - cream or slate. I have only seen the slate in person and it's a beautiful color, pretty unique. However I know that the cream is more classic Patek (dials in the white/off white family)Which dial may stand the test of time better?Thoughts? Preferences?
