When it comes to affordable watches with some interesting styling, Christopher Ward has been on the radar for most of us, and new for the brand is the Christopher Ward 65 Classic. One of the first watches I came into contact with from them was their excellent C60 Trident GMT. Given that history, I was rather intrigued to see their new iteration in that lineup, the C65 Trident Classic.This takes the Trident line from it's sport roots, and moves it most definitely into the realm of a dress watch. We still keep the same handset, and the wave pattern embossed into the dial. The 42mm case carries a similar profile as well, though here it's done up in a satin finish. And that's where we depart from similarities, and start talking about the differences. I remember 5205 was quite well received when it debuted (2010?). Now, it seems that some owners -fellow TRF members- could not cope with its different case shape and ended up flipping it. Some of the reasons mentioned here were that the watch wears too small, is too top heavy, too thick, unbalanced.Considering the options available for similarly priced annual calendars in the current PP collection (such as 5396G, recently updated with a stunning grey dial), does 5205 still hold its grounds?

Hi folks :) Recently went to Seoul, where one of the AD's in a big Duty Free Dept. Store had the following (translated.. and in order of the sheet):Pieces we do not have stock of:116500LN (White)116500LN (Black)116610LN116610LV114060116710BLNR126600Essentially to stop people like me going into even enquire! Some interesting things I've heard from friends whom are Rolex customers are..1) ADs get S/S stock (i.e. the above) depending on how well they do on PM sales.2) ADs sometimes have this stock on hand - they simply do not place this in display cases. A friend of a friend walked into his local AD and picked up a PM Daytona and also a PM Day Date for his wife... was offered a S/S Hulk on the spot, which was casually sitting in the safe.So, this made me curious. What claims have you AD spouted on the above? Any one know what their AD receives in numbers for the above models per year?Cheers,G
