Mondaine’s New Watches for Fall
Mondaine, the Official Swiss Railways Watch and one of the more affordable Swiss watch brands on the market today, unveils their new timepieces for fall. Two new Retro Chic models debut, one for ladies and one for men. Mondaine also offers two new square watches in larger and smaller sizes, and with brushed or polished finishes. The new 28mm ladies Retro Chic has a curved sapphire crystal with an integrated leather strap in one of Mondaine’s signature colors: red. The larger Retro Chic measures in at 40mm and is available with either a black leather strap or a bracelet that recalls days gone by. All Retro Chic watches are water resistant to 10 ATM. The MSRP is $275 for leather strap and $355 for metal bracelet version. The ladies version is pictured below. The larger model adds a day of the week display at six o’clock. Artist Profile: The Imagery Of Time With Olga Narozhna
People starve to be different. The least likely of places you'd expect find individualism was Soviet-controlled Ukraine in the 1970s. Let me tell you about finding uniqueness among the seemingly generic, and a person that discovers and displays it.It was purely accidental that I learned about Olga Narozhna and her work. She is a one of the kind artist, hard to find if you are not looking in the right places. Olga is an artist consumed with the representation of time. Most of her work incorporates some component from a watch or clock, working or in fragmented form. The imagery of time is beautiful to Olga, I see clocks as art, and then as the time. Artists like Olga don't exist to be found, so one has to probe. eBay is a waypoint for the interesting, the hard to get, and the value-endowed. Recently, I found an interesting type of watch that I had never seen before. It wasn't a particular brand, nor was it anything mass produced, but rather a piece of watch art. Labeled under the item t
To My Enabler Friends...
I'll keep this short and sweet, not giving up any details but i've swayed from the SS volcano/panda pieces that I wanted (Panda the most) , keeping my Rubber Clad and adding something very nice this week ;)I already made my decision, but wondering what you guy's would choose, personally, and why :) It's been a tough decisionSo here it is...Bumble Beeor44mm Forged Carbon?
Omega newbie please help verify
Hi members I wasn't much of a fan of omega but I've been offered a trade for one. An I'm thinking of considering. All I know is its a 2010 model seamaster 42mm.. What is the secondary market value? How's the movement and reliability? Owner says he's got box and papers, I will be meeting with him face to face for the transaction.. Not sure if I can identify if it's a replica.. Any feedback would much be appreciated.. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
312 misaligned hour hand - Panerai struggling to fix...
So I talked a watch neophyte buddy into buying from a Rock Solid trusted seller. He wanted an auto Pam and settled on the 312 after a year of thinking about it.Not long after buying the watch - and wearing it sparingly - he noticed the hour had was so misaligned...he could not tell if it was resting on the hour correctly or not.A local AD nicely sent it off to Panerai for him. Eight weeks pass and he gets a call saying the watch came back looking exactly the same...so back to Panerai. Now, nearly a month later Panerai QA calls the AD saying the hand is still misaligned. It's supposed to be back any day now.Is such a thing so difficult to fix?!?
