Watch Choice For Survival: Top Pick For Deserted Island Scenario?
If you are anything like me, you have seriously considered what you would do in a survival situation on a deserted island. Do I ever anticipate being in this situation? You'll need a rugged, long lasting watch, with functions that will be helpful during everyday endeavors.Under the most dire of scenarios, you are going to be stuck on this island for a long time, perhaps even forever. Cutting rubber strap?
Hello all, taking delivery of my first Patek (5167r) this next week. I planned on getting it in person but I'm having it shipped instead. Has anyone sized the strap themselves? If so, what tools do I need? I removed the links from my AP bracelet so I'm not afraid of taking on the challenge! Thanks in advance.
What my AD said....
I noticed that most people like to post what their AD says, so here is mine.We have seen an increase in sales of the professional line recently, but we don't know what why. This tells me 2 things:Everyone who posts about the stainless models being discontinued is wrong.Everyone reading this forum gets crazy and buys more.By the way, they have plenty of stock still, everything from subs, the the old sea-dwellers to the deep sea.
Opinions on a trade for a vintage gmt
Ok as I'm trying to diversify my collection to more collectables I've had an offer of trading my full set 16610 sub (2001 pinhole) for a 1982 gmt master two tone on jubilee (watch only)I know the 5 digits go up and down in price but are all about the same.... researching these gmts and the prices are all over the place ... it's a non-nipple dial but still tritium original... bracelet is mint with almost no stretch and the plexi is unscratchedNow I know we don't value watches here but I'm looking for advice on these older TT gmt's as I cannot find anything consistent Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
