Christophe & Co. Armill Is $150,000 Self-Powering Smart Bracelet Designed By Pininfarina With Upgradeable Tech
The smart watch and wearables segment is evolving quickly and has us extremely curious to know how the luxury industry will find a space within an area they historically have very little experience - digital technology. New brand Christophe & Co. began with a very simple premise - to create an ultra high-end wearable that incorporated elements of high tech while focusing on exclusivity as a jewelry product for men. The Christophe & Co. Armill is not a watch - which leaves timepiece lovers free to wear their timepieces along side their often one-of-a-kind Christophe & Co. smart bracelet. The debut Christophe & Co. Armill models will be the "entry-level" Virtus, then Orion, and topped off with the ultra ritzy Apollo.I'll get to the technology part in a moment, but I do want to say that Christophe & Co. designed these wearables to incorporate small rotors that charge their batteries like automatic or auto-quartz watches generate power via the motion of one's wrist. Incoming ROC & bracelet sizing notes
Just got my hands on my first AP and it's everything I expected and more! As a side note, it seems like the later production ROCs are coming with 1.6mm bracelet screws. All the research here on bracelet sizing pointed to 1.4mm screws for the non-Offshore ROs.In the end, this worked out better as my bergeon 1.4mm were not hollow ground and would have torn up the screw heads. The OEM Panerai 1.6mm screwdriver worked great - the hollow ground tip made it so much easier. There was enough contact with the screw head and enough torque, there wasn't any need to heat up the factory loctite.
AP vs Richard Mille
Anyone watching the French Open Finals today? I see Nadal wearing his RM but can't tell the model, only that it has a red strap, anyone know which model it is?Guess Djokovic usually doesn't wear his AP during the match.Should be a great match-up!
16570 Explorer price boom?
Anyone see the undervalued 16570 explorer 2 hitting a price boom anytime soon? I only wonder this because - the pre-ceramic GMT models are driving up as rapidly as bitcoin it seems in the last year or so (blows my mind). The 16570 is the exact same thing inside and out without a rotating bezel and GMT on the dial... I sold a 2004 ref. for 3k 2 years ago and it still took 2 weeks to move. I see them slowly rising now but nothing like its GMT counterpart. Needless to say, back in the market for one to be my future cockpit watch.
Im wanting to buy one of these two rolexes for spouse
She likes these two out of everything thus far... I'm thinking the yachtmaster.. I welcome opinions. She's not into Datejusts or anything smalller than the blnr.. I'm wondering.. do women wear gmt rolexes...
