Vintage 7806-S
In the hope that I might be able to take advantage once more of the wealth of collective knowledge that is the forum...I'm trying to convince myself that I should buy a Navitimer 7806-S. Well, that's what I think it is after doing a fair bit of research here and on a couple of other recommended forums...It seems to be in nice condition, the lume looks very dark though. There is evidence of surface scratching to the case and acrylic - but it is nearly 40 years old. I gather these were only made from '72 to 74 (or thereabouts). My own research of the serial number dates this to '73 - the year I was born...So, should I?! Does this one look nice enough? I'm no collector - this is purely something for me. Any of you chaps able to give me a rough idea of value? Just so that I don't pay completely over the odds...
Planet Ocean liquidmetal titanium
Saw this the other day and quite liked it. I've never owned an Omega and wanted to know what you guys thought of this watch - what's the word on the street, so to speak.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1355083002.763982.jpgPic isn't mine, I sourced it online. Cheers!
5205g, size ok?
This is a 5205g on my wrist. Ok or too small? Please be honest, as I have not pulled the trigger (and will not be able to do so for at least a few more months). Sorry for the crap picture, but the AD sales guy was not too happy with my attempts to photograph.
Pam 1312 vs 312 size & color dilemma...
Hey guys,I am new to the forum and new to panerai. Looking to make my first panerai watch purchase and I need some help...I have been doing research online (exhaustively), and have visited my local AD for the in person experience. I initially went in with heart set on the 312. I tried both the 312 and 1312 and I preferred the overall aesthetic and cleaner look of the 312 dial, but much preferred the thinner fit of the 1312... but I was just not sure of the ecru color, blue second hand and automatic written on dial... although it isn't that obstrusive in person, it still has me thinkingWhy couldn't they just make the 312 exactly the same (or even with the ommision of the date and the 9) with the new 1312 case size?? Is there another model that can satisfy those criteria?I keep thinking I'll just get the bigger 312 case, then I read countless articles of owners that say it's hard to live with height and too heavy case on daily basis. Perhaps I'll learn to love the blue second hand and fa
New Daytona
Hey Guys,I ordered a new YG Daytona with champaign dial and black sub counters from my AD. Going to flip my current Daytona for it, which is the model just before the new one. It's still the same reference number. Was wondering two things, if anyone had any input:1. Does anyone know why the crystal sticks up so high on the Daytona? 2. Other then the new font on the bezel, whats new on the new Daytona? Is the case different? Thicker? Any other improvements? Thanks!
