Alpina ’12 Hours of Sebring” LE
Alpina Geneve has been named Official Timekeeper of the 57th edition of the 12 Hours of Sebring endurance race to be held March 18-21, 2009 on Sebring International Raceway in Florida. In honor of this event, Alpina has developed a special limited edition timepiece: the Alpina Extreme ’12 Hours of Sebring’. An example of this watch will be presented to the winner following the race. The watch is made of black steel and rubber and has a matte black dial with the design of the tarmac of the track. It features clear indexes with a red ’12’, commemorating the twelve hours of the race. The Swiss automatic movement is visible through the exhibition case back.To honor the 57th race, the watch will be presented in an exclusive limited and numbered edition of only 257 pieces worldwide.
Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor Diving Automatic Navy SEALs Watch
I was really excited about this watch when I got to play with it at SIHH 2010. Jaeger-LeCoultre has been working with the US Navy SEALs for a while making watches to suit their needs. Last year I wrote about my favorite version which was the Master Compressor Diving Automatic Navy SEALs Alarm watch. Now the brand has finally released the most "mainstream" version of the collection. It is a more basic three-hand version of the watch and is very pure in form. It really is a watch born out of an interesting partnership with people whose professional lives demand easy to use and durable timepieces (looking cool in the process is an unintended side effect).Previous watches in the collection were 44mm wide and this version is 42mm wide (and 14mm thick). In a time when such sport watches are still made with larger dimensions, I was very curious as to why Jaeger-LeCoultre shrunk the size a bit. The reason was simple. The Navy SEALs guys thought the previous versions were a bit big and asked fo
AP Band Straps
Hello EveryoneJust purchased a rubber strap AP Bands for my panda and was wondering who here has purchased from them and what your thoughts are. I received excellent service, the reviews are top notch and from what I've read, the quality is equal to or greater than the OEM bands. Please post your pics. Thanks in advance.
Undecided need advice
Got a TT DJ41 last July that I love. Wear it all the time, when I got it from my AD I told him to put me on the lost for the Daytona which has always been my grail. Today the ad said still not received anything, so I'm not sure how long it will take to get one. (What's the average time you guys got urs after putting ur name.) I can only wait or, get a BNIB sub date for 8k or a used 116520 for 10k
End link or not...
Just wanting some simple opinions. I really like both, but wondered what the group would think. I just got two new straps for my Black Bays, and I'm just wondering whether I want to wear them with the end links or not. Thanks for your input. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
