Apple Watch: The Way And Why To Enjoy A Smartwatch For One Horological Enthusiast
? Mark Alberhasky / IMAGEMAPlease enjoy this guest post on the Apple Watch for watches-dealer by professional photographer and watch enthusiast Mark Alberhasky, founder of IMAGEMAwatches-dealer.I remember exactly the moment the Apple Watch was unveiled to the world. And as soon as the beauty shots and video hit the screen, I knew I faced a conundrum: How will this fit in among my collection of fine timepieces, and will my passion for watches disappear among ones and zeros? These were questions not easily answered, but I had many months to grapple with the ramifications, none of which could actually be resolved until the hype cleared and The Watch physically materialized.Although I knew my enthusiasm for all things Apple guaranteed I would buy the Apple Watch at the earliest opportunity, acquiring one, ironically, became something of a quest. As a professional photographer in my current life, I was scheduled to be in Costa Rica the night orders would go live on the Apple website. Determ
Oris Big Crown ProPilot Date Review
2014 was a big year for Oris. First they unveiled their mighty in-house 10-day caliber, showing that they were going to start to focus more on manufacturing movements in the coming years, an exciting development. Then, shortly after, at Basel they revealed a new line, the Big Crown ProPilots. Of what we saw in Basel last year, these watches were amongst our favorites. They were simple, clean pilot's watches with cool case details and a modern, but restrained design. Nothing too wild, but they resonated with our tastes and general interests in military and tool watches. Plus, how often does a brand make a pilot watch that doesn't look like every other pilot watch out there? At Basel they showed us three models, the GMT Chronograph, the big day/date and the date. Subsequently, they released the crown jewel of the collection, the uniquely Oris, ProPilot Altimeter. Altogether, it's a logical quartet of watches, giving a nice range in size, complication and price. But while the GMT chrono an
AP Forged Carbon Chrono weight
Does anyone happen to know the weight of the 44mm forged carbon chrono? I'm assuming it is lighter then the AP Diver steel but I want to know how much lighter. Anyone have experience owning both? Thanks in advance
Why I am no longer thinking about getting an AP
Because I got one! Thanks for all the comments in my last thread regarding my debate between the Diver and the 15400 or 15202. I tried on all three (yes, my AD had a 15202 in the back, not on display) and the one that really sang to me was the Diver. Today is my first day of wearing it and I've found that it fits very comfortably on my 6.5 wrist and I don't think it looks too big at all. Anyway, here are a few pics...
New rolex rose gold fades!
My 2007 Rose gold president has faded in color, as compared to the 2010 model. It isn't supposed to fade according to Rolex, and it now looks halfway closer to yellow gold, than to a new Rose gold model. It was purchased from Demesy in Texas. A reputable dealer.Has anyone else had this problem?Trumpet
