To Prolong the Lifetime, Loosen the Strap a Little Bit while Wearing Leather Strap..?
Guys,In order to prolong the lifetime of leather strap, the AD informed me that I should loosen it a little beat while wearing it...That would prevent the strap from overstretched... Would this really prolong the lifetime of the leather strap??Regards,
I caught the bug
Maybe getting a little watch crazy and thought I'd sit on sidelines for a while and enjoy but, these three now have my attention. I'm not sure if it's the brown colors or just what. I've already traded my YG Daytona with blue face and thought I'd happy with my last two Daytonas but, this new one does have my attention. I don't own a Patek YET but, again this brown themed Aquanaut also has my attention but a little on the formal side (also considering the stainless/black strap). I never have considered the OffShore but, the new Safari has my attention....and of all things, the Omega Dark Side of the Moon looks nice too. Three of the four obviously are in a different price bracket and I can only wear one at a time even with current collection. What say the gallery?
Incoming..... First AP!! Yummy
Because of all you AP forum posters I had to have one... you bastards... . My visit to the AP boutique in Paris last month didn't help.1.jpgWired the funds to a TRF trusted seller a short while ago and it should arrive tomorrow. Special thanks to Mike (aka kilyung) for being kind enough to help answer a few queries last night and to all you AP forum posters for making me want it!A little waffle below while we wait...waffle.jpg
Vintage Omega
While clearing through some personal items of a relative who passed away a while back I found an old gold Omega watch. I think this must be from the 70's from the style, but would appreciate any information anyone may have on the model or year. Also, unfortunately, the bracelet is damaged. I've tried to take some pictures showing this, though the quality isn't great. I would appreciate any advice on whether it is possible to repair this kind of gold mesh bracelet? It looks like it is part of the case rather than a replaceable bracelet, so could be an expensive repair? Many Thanks in advance!1-DSC_2528.jpg1-DSC_2526.jpg1-DSC_2532.jpg1-DSC_2535.jpg1-DSC_2536.jpg
How does your AD deal with issues?
So I purchased a second watch recently from an AD, and it wasn't to my expectations (crown appeared not to always engage position 2 or 3, date seemed to change at 2am intermittently). If you purchased a new watch and it had issues from new, would you expect your AD to replace or refund, or offer a repair in the first couple of days of ownership?1. Would you expect a replacement if available2. Would you expect a refund3. Would you be happy with a repair
