Rolex Submariner & Daytona Black & Gold Modified Watches
I am taking credit for these watches. I met with Time & Gems a while ago when seeing their progress with DLC and PVD treatments on Rolex watch modifications, and suggested that they give a two tone "Rolesor" watch this type of treatment. Black and gold is a very nice combo, (especially yellow gold and black), and to be honest, I don't think I've ever seen a Rolex mod that did this (though I could be wrong). So what Time & Gems did is black DLC coat the steel portions of these watches, and leave the gold parts of the watch and the dials alone. DLC is a very hard coating and is becoming favored to PVD at many brands. Time & Gems seems to confused the term DLC and PVD - and they seem to use them both. Jean-Claude Biver, current Head of Watchmaking?at LVMH, will act as CEO of TAG?Heuer in the interim.Linder assumed the role of CEO just last year, after former CEO Jean-Christophe Babin left TAG?Heuer to become CEO at Bulgari.?The departure of Linder, who has worked at TAG?Heuer for 21 years, comes amidst significant?restructuring at the firm, including 46 layoffs in September and a refocus on lower-priced watches.Linder's resignation is the second departure of key management this year for TAG?Heuer, after Patrick Pruniaux, VP of Sales and Retail, left the Swiss watchmaker to join Apple.

114060 How Thin Does it Wear?
This question is for all you thin watch fanatics like me...How thin does the 114060 wear in YOUR experience?After owning an ETA Black Bay for well over a year I'm ready to let it go for a Rolex. Naturally, the watch I'm drawn to most is the 114060. I've tried it on a bunch of times and am seriously considering it. Do any of you feel that it's too tall? I love my Black Bay but my main complaint is that it's all midcase.Bonus question... to those of you who've owned 5 & 6 digit sub nds. Can you tell a difference on case height?Thank you!
