Found: A Breguet Pocket Watch, A Renoir, And The Mystery Of One Of The Greatest Breguet Collectors
Seeking shelter and distraction on a windy Sunday, some friends and I purchased tickets to the National Gallery in London to see the highly recommended "Delacroix and the Rise of Modern Art" exhibition. When in doubt, spending a few hours in the company of Matisse, Kandinsky, and Gaugin is never time wasted. 1 OF 8 Still shivering from the cold, we made our way down the stone steps of the Museum. Somewhat ironically, it was not Delacroix whom I wanted to see, but Renoir. His version of Delacroix’s The Jewish Wedding In Morocco had recently popped up during my research on the world’s first perpetual calendar wristwatch, a Breguet. Both had been purchased by Mr. Jean Dollfus. Or so I thought. 2 OF 8 The "Dollfus Perpetual Calendar," the world's first perpetual calendar wristwatch. Your thoughts on using MSC OEM strap on 44RG?
I am contemplating in changing the oem black strap on my 44RG to the slightly brownish (much softer feel) michael Schumacher oem rubber strap.. I am wondering anyone here have done it? Any photos? What are your thoughts?Thank you! James
No love for the 5235?
I'm in the process of determining which reference will be my first PP complication. I love the 5131, but it's impossible to get. Im on the waitlist, but have no reasonable expectations that I'll ever get the lucky call. I've seen all the common AC references (5205, 5396, 5160, 5146), and while I like them, there is something about each one of them that doesn't suit me. I've seen pictures of the AC regulator online and it looks so cool. But, it is also near impossible to see in the flesh without placing an order. I've also seen little talk on TRF about it and I've only seen one incoming thread. So, help me understand what I'm missing. I don't want to get all excited about the 5235 only to realize there is something glaringly wrong with it. Any feedback would be helpful from anyone and particularly those that have seen it in the flesh. image.jpg
