Doxa Shark Ceramica XL Limited Edition Watch
One of the best things about Doxa watches is that they don't change. There is a whole collection of "SUB something" watches that have designs from what feels like the 1960s or 1970s - that remain largely unchanged today. Ever since Clive Cussler learned about the brand at a dive store he worked in and immortalized it in his writing, Doxa timepieces have been a bit more than just diving instruments. There have been attempts to modernize the look of the brand as well as of the core dive watch collection. I think it is almost amusing when people discuss Doxa's non-dive pieces (which aren't half bad). Though for most people who are familiar with Doxa, they will always be the orange-dialed (or black) dive watch brand. A new collection called the Doxa Shark Ceramica XL is offered as a limited edition and attempts to offer a fresh look to the classic marquee. They are actually revisions on what I believe was an Asia-only collection from a few years ago called the Doxa Shark Ceramica. Those mod
DeWitt Academia Quantieme Perpetuel Nebula GMT Watch Available On James List
Back a few years ago when the money flowed like wine - the luxury watch world was known to take generous, deep sips from the pool. It was a gold age of new ideas, brands and designs. A promising brand that might not reach the next decade is DeWitt. I've always liked the majority of their designs, and found their philosophy intriguing. This is one of their coolest models in my opinion. A neat looking perpetual calendar watch with a GMT hand. Sure, it is an expensive watch, but it is a relic from an era - communicating the exuberance of an era, which hearkening back to the roaring 20s with its art deco look. The 43mm case came in two variants (matched to a black or white textured dial). The cases either had white or rose gold, mixed with black ceramic and polished titanium. I've checked out these pieces before, and they are nicely made with really bold designs. I love the quasi-checkered bezels iconic to the brand. The five symmetrical subdials are beautifully arranged with straight forwar
Issue with date on Old Navitimer II
Today, I was setting the date on my Old Navi II and noticed the date changed at 3am not at midnight. I'm always asleep at 3am but the thought of it bugs me. Has anyone had this issue. Everything else works great on the watch.
Value of Dial
I am considering an older DJ with the Tiffany dial. Does anyone know what kind of premium this would add to the watch vs the standard dial all other things being the same? I was browsing at some DDs with the stella dial and those are over the moon in price. Thanks!!
Rolex 16710 GMT values
Hi all,I'm now looking to pick up a 16710 GMT Master 2 in the near future, prob looking to get a post 2002 model. I'm wondering if I get a black GMT and source the pepsi and coke bezels , if the value of this would be less than if got a pepsi or coke GMT instead. What would be the future difference in value?
