Hands-On with the Padron Selby
A couple of years ago, we put a piece together about Padron Watch Company, a one-man show out of Minneapolis. Leo Padron, said one-man, welcomed us into his watch making studio, where he designs and assembles his line of affordable and unique watches (yes, he's a watch maker). It's worth a read to learn a bit more about the man and his brand. At the time, he was just finishing up a successful Kickstarter campaign for his Tessera timepieces, one of several such projects. Now, he is currently at the end of yet another successful campaign for an update to the Tessera, named the Selby. What caught my about this watch, all of Padron's watches for that matter, was that it's totally his own vision. His watches are unique and almost bizarre, and while not for everyone, have an undeniable charm. Furthermore, in a sea of watches that seem to be slight variants on an idea or two, his bold designs are a nice change of pace. The Selby was actually the most low key of the bunch, in my eyes. Interview: F.P. Journe On The New Women's elegante Line
I had the pleasure of sitting down with Mr. François-Paul Journe to discuss the brand's new line of Women's watches, Élégante, and it was awesome.First of all, I would like to preface this article by saying that I did not think I would like this collection. When I first heard that the watch has a quartz movement, I think I rolled my eyes. BUT to my great surprise, I was very impressed with the pieces in person and now I want one for myself. 1 OF 9 The watch is everything its name suggests – elegant. The trademarked flattened Tortue case comes in platinum, red gold, and titanium. The titanium version comes with or without diamonds, which is a refreshing choice to have. All of the watches come with a sporty rubber strap with folding clasp in six colors: white, rose, light blue, midnight blue, chocolate, and khaki green. The dial is easy to read with Arabic numerals and a luminous dial. The titanium version is super lightweight and is very
Is the blue 15400 rare?
I've not seen many on sales threads, c24, or ebay... I'm considering one to wear over my 15202 on the daily grind..
First post - Fell in love with a girl named Daytona but I cant find her
I've never been one to spend big on watches but through a friend who is an avid Rolex collector my interest in the brand picked up. I started researching the brand and the craftsmanship that goes into the watches and grew a deep passion for it. I was immediately sold and decided I need to have one but the problem was I didn't know which one, all I knew was that I wasn't going to settle, compromise isn't an option, if I'm going to spend the money I have to love the watch. I don't want any part of buyers remorse at the cost of saving a few bucks.I looked at hundreds to thousands of different online images of the many beautiful available Rolex watches, from classic elegant designs to the more sportier looks. Finally I came across a stainless steel Rolex Daytona with the white dial and knew right then and there that's the one for me. The same way I knew the girl I dated would someday be my wife. Problem is I can't find a place that carry's this watch. What am I missing ?Who or what place c
Photoshop Concept Rolex
Over the years I have PS several Concept Rolex. Models I have in mind. I think, I must not the only one, some one the forum must have thought about some models that is not on the market that might have a potential. Why not gather them all in one place?Maybe Rolex design team have interest to take a peek. I'll start with my own creation. Hopefully some members can follow as well and keep this thread going and going.
