Patek Philippe Chronograph Annual Calendar 5960/1A Watch In Steel
For top-tier brands like Patek Philippe,?exotic materials such as gold, in all its hues, and platinum are almost exclusively used when it comes to their more complicated models, while steel is primarily reserved for the sportier and/or simpler pieces, like the Nautilus and the Aquanaut. The irony this creates is that once steelCthis most ordinary materialCis coupled with a flagship reference, it immediately gains a status of desirability, due to it being systematically ignored in the past. In this environment exotic pales into usual, and ordinary becomes special. At Baselworld 2014, Patek Philippe has announced that it terminated the manufacturing of its very complexCand equally desirableCannual calendar automatic chronograph Reference 5960 in any and all precious metals, and from now on will offer it exclusively in stainless steel. That is a bold decision to make, and one that likely caught even the brand's more cult followers off-guard.As we were undertaking the research for our arti
Christopher Ward C8 Regulator Review
After recent news, Christopher Ward is more likely to be known for their affordable in-house SH21 movement than anything else, but if you look our archives, you'll find most of our reviews are of their pilot's watches. We've looked at the C8 MKII, the C10, the C11 and the C1000 Typhoon, all of which offer something different. The C8 MKII is fairly classic pilot, reminiscent of IWC MK series, the C10 is a more formal, with a touch of navigator DNA, the C11 is a modern instrument panel-style aviator and the C1000 Typhoon is a dark and stealthy modern pilot realized in ceramic. Today, we're going to take a look at a follow up to the C8 MKII; the C8 Regulator. What sets this watch apart is indicated clearly in the name; it's a regulator. This fairly uncommon complication splits the hour, minutes and seconds into 3 separate dials. Typically, as is the case with the C8, you have the hours and seconds as secondary sub-dials, and the minutes about the center. The concept behind this watch, as i

Something I would like to share with my friends in the Forum. I have a feeling of disenchantment with Rolex for what is happening with the shortage of models that we can access by purchasing them directly from an official dealer. The only example was the Daytona but now it seems that it will be extended to many models that are not worth stating because we all know what they are and which in my opinion we will never be able to reach them unless we contact a gray dealer that we know that they do have all the models. I would prefer that the prices are the ones that correspond but that we can access them in a normal way. I saw a Daytona advertisement that showed the price of $ 12400 in the photo and offered it to more than $ 20,000. It is simply ridiculous.I'm not questioning the policy of Rolex because we are all free and we do what we want but my disappointment in particular is great and really moves me away from the brand that I admire so much. I use this brand since 1970 or a little ea
