BRM Timepiece Is Love Letter To Motor Oil
In love with Gulf Racing, the?BRM CNT-44-GULF watch is brimming with oil. Everyone knows that most mechanical watch movements contain oil in them as a necessary part of machine lubrication. So yea, most all watches already have oil inside of them. But not quite like this. For oil magnates and elephants (you oil people know what I am talking about), this is a timepiece that celebrates good ol' black gold with a small container of motor oil right in the dial. Sinn 142 St II GZ Watch With Tide Chart Bezel
Sinn was pretty quiet this year at Baselworld 2010. I walked into their booth proudly wearing a Sinn watch myself to find not a soul that spoke English. Really Sinn? Actually, I can't be too surprised, the competent watch maker is a ghost in the United States. With just one authorized dealer (only online), Sinn watches aren't exactly common 'round these parts. But that shouldn't be the case. 2010 didn't have any super exciting new Sinn models that herald in a new era of "superman watch," but there area few interesting pieces. One is the U200 - which is a 'big boy's watch" for smaller wrists. And then there is this unique Sinn 142 St II GZ. An obfuscatory and odd name for a pretty interesting watch. In addition to the Dubois Depraz Calibre 2070 (base ETA 2892-A2) automatic movement its chronograph, synced 24 hour hand, and date, the watch has the first "tide bezel" I've ever seen.The interesting function allows you to set the bezel, and then figure out the tides in a given area for that

Aqua Terra Golf: My Next Omega Grail
I was browsing the Omega website today and stumbled upon what appears to be the watch of my (near-term) dreams: Aqua Terra Golf.I've always liked the design of the Aqua Terra, but the 39mm case didn't really appeal to me. I'm probably quite behind the times, but 41.5mm Aqua Terra + green accents is a winner in my eyes. Well then again, green is just my favorite color. (Thus I think the Sub LV is beautiful too.)Just have to save up and hope one pops up on the secondary market eventually!Anyone know of other watches with relatively normal (black/white) faces with green accents?

Panerai Luminor Vintage strap. Very cool look.
Just wanted to share a new strap that is a bit unusual. Its a Panerai Luminor Vintage strap in black. Its a calf skin strap but has a bit of a rough texture to it but is very playable.. Its tough to get a good pic to capture the color but it is a distresst black with underlining shades of brown. Very rustic Italian look.
