Ladoire RGT "Origin Of The Sun" Piece Unique Watch
As an homage to Japan and to raise some charity money, Ladoire has produced this piece unique version of their Roller Guardian Time (RGT) watch. They call it the "Origin of the Sun," and it really is one big fanboy nod from Lionel Ladoire to Japanese Culture. The Roller Guardian Time is a very unique timepiece in the world of high-end watch making. You really need to get to know Mr. Ladoire to appreciate it and understand the lifestyle around it. With a unique shape and design, it is a special member of the world of independent horology. I first wrote about the Ladoire RGT watch here a few years ago.The premise of the large timepiece is to have a retrograde hour indicator, subsidiary minute and seconds dial, and a large second time zone hand. Think of it as a very strange regulator style watch. It takes some mental adjustment to read, but it is doable. The automatic movement is made by Calvet, and really looks nice in all the different ways Ladoire has presented it.In this case the Orig
Most Extreme Zenith Defy Extreme Yet! The Zenith Defy Xtreme Stealth Limited Edition Watch
There might have not been enough use of the word "extreme" in the title of this posting, but Zenith consistently abuses this moniker so I shall too. After the over abundance of the "extreme" label on most items a few years ago, I thought the extreme nature of product would subside. Apparently the marketing people at Zenith are unaware of the "extreme" faux-pas, or are serious as to the extreme nature of the watch, which it is.This new limited edition Zenith Defy Extreme Stealth is undeniably the sexiest thus far. The black materials with the matte red hands and registers on the face are simply too well done to be thrown in the pile of other red and black watches. What likely separates the red (on the Zenith Defy Extreme from other red colors on watches) is the application of the red on the hands and face. While most watches have colors literally painted on, it appears as though Zenith takes a different approach. Painted materials always have at least a bit of a sheen or gloss. At the v

3rd PAM Recommendation
I currently own a PAM563 and a PAM610 that I consider a base brother/sister combination. I am looking to add a third Panerai in the Luminor 1950 case. The three I am considering are all favorites: the 233, 1305, and 372. While I do agree that 44mm would be a more appropriate size, I am clearly open to 47mm. I have other dive, GMT options in my collection, though they are not Panerai such that complication really isn't important to me so much as overall look. The 233 is appealing with its domed crystal, sandwich dial, size. The 1305 would add a Submersible to my collection and I would likely keep it on a rubber strap which is something I don't currently have in my collection. The 372 is obviously the purest Luminor 1950 and has the most heritage. I would be looking for a plexi crystal version. I am eager just to hear your input and see pictures which direction I should go. My collection currently consists of two Rolex Submariners, an Explorer II, a GMT-Master II, a Datejust 41
Should I trust this as my first Panerai? 90?
I love the look of this watch and the fact that its automatic, has a date feature and power reserve indicator. This site claims its NEW. Would you trust it?.jomashop/panerai-watch-pam00090.html
