BaselWorld 2013: The New Nomos Series 38 Watches
Case size is crucial in watch design as it affects not only comfort, but also proportion and the everyday practicality of the piece. With that in mind, it is remarkable what a difference a few millimeters can make when up-sizing a smaller model to suit a larger wrist. With the new Series 38, Nomos Glashutte has breathed new life into their Orion, Tangente and Ludwig models, while also introducing a 38mm version of the Orion with a grey dial. While likely still considered small by many tastes, the Series 38 is an exciting update that I was eager to see in person as Nomos exhibits a style and design philosophy that has always spoken to my tastes and a slightly larger version of the lovely Orion is definitely worth a closer look. The 38 Series is comprised of four new models, three of which are essentially up-sized versions of their 35mm older siblings. Outgoing Rolex INcOMING Patek No 2...
Greetings folks,,Recently I have been thinking that I dont give my Rolex WG SkyDweller enough wrist time so decided to trade it in for a Patek, the question was which one, so looked around and started to warm to the SS 5711 and 5712.. After looking around at pics of both pieces here from owners of both I eventually went for the 5712 due to the more interesting dial and love that moonphase feature... Most people dont care for a moonphase BUT as I fly for a living mostly during the night I like the idea of knowing where the moon is..Enjoy the pics
First AP potentially
Well, thanks to all of you enablers (and my own personal issue of always wanting the next thing) I'm trying to decide my next addition. I'm thinking of one of the following: the PP 5711, AP Blue Jumbo in SS or RG, or the Rolex YM with blue dial. My current collection consist of the following: Rolexes DDII RG w Ivory Dial, YGG MTIIC with green dial, YG SubC with black dial, TT SubCII with Blue dial, Explorer II black dial, PAM 233, PP 5726 black with bracelet, and a few Breitlings.
