Breva Gnie 01 Is First Ever Mechanical Weather Station Watch
Thanks to the talent brought to us by master watch movement designer Jean-Francois Mojon and company Chronode, we now have on this earth what is essentially the world's most expensive "Casio ProTrek" with the Breva Genie 01 timepiece. Why spend a few hundred bucks for a watch with a slew of digital environmental sensors that can (and will) last like an Energizer bunny when for over $150,000 you can get a mechanical weather station watch with an altimeter and barometer? Of course the Breva requires a bit more tinkering and care. It makes perfect sense for me. It's like those guys that want to have a photography dark room in their basement to get closer to the soul of picture development in resistance of the scourge that is the unholy memory card and Photoshop alliance. Though in this case I hardly think that someone will have more artistic control over predicting the weather by using a mechanical versus computerized means of considering it.My sarcasm is extremely hypocritical given th

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Question. Damaged?
Hello everyone,First time member here and hoping I can get anyone's opinion and help.I received my Royal Oak as a graduation gift when visiting Paris and have owned it for a year and some.I accidentally dropped my watch -- thankfully in the travel case provided by AP -- and came across the following problems.- When using the watch after the watch has been idle for a month or so, the time seemed to be going faster and going ahead 3 minutes. This seems to only occur when I use the watch after a long period of time, but seems to be fixed when using it more often. I provided a video below.- When i try to set the time, the minute hand seems to have a delay when turning the crown.- When i try to set the time, the Seconds hand seems to twitch when setting the time. (around the 0:08 second mark) - when i push the crown back into place, the minute hand has a tendency to bounce (0:25 second mark)I know when i purchased it there was that delay when turning the crown, but did not make anything of
RO 15400 date change problem
My RO appears to have a slight problem recently. The date change is no longer smooth. When changing the date with the crown, I must pause a short 1/2 sec before I can change to the next day. It's like the mechanism got some resistance and a bit stucked. But it is still smooth when winding or adjusting the hour/mins. The date also change at midnight without problems. Any idea what's wrong?
Nautilus 5711 questions
Hi guys! I am seeking for assistance please. I was offered a 2007 Patek Nautilus 5711 blue dial. Condition is unworn and it has not been serviced. Questions: 1) does it need a service? 2) has the retail price gone up? current list from 2012 is $26700.00? 3) would you get this piece or wait for a new one? If you choose this piece what sort of amount would you offer? Any help would greatly be appreciated.
