On the road to acquiring my first AP
Hi everyone, been reading the forums for awhile and I think I have finally decided to buy my dream watch. I fell in love with the aesthetics of the Royal Oak many years ago but didn't know too much about it at the time. The more I find out about it, the more I see it's value and respect all the work put in to creating a piece like it.I only have 2 nicer watches so far (Rolex Milguass GV for work and a U-Boat Flightdeck Beige for fun) and I was originally going to add a white faced Calibre de Cartier with steel band to my collection. I was kind of set on buying it...but after going to Japan for vacation and actually trying it on a couple times and talking to some people about it, my mind started to wander to AP...I know it's more than double the price but it's what I've always wanted so I figured what the heck?!So...here I am on the hunt for one! I went to my local AD and tried on a 15400 which is pretty much the one I am set on. My first choice would be the boutique edition blue dial b
DSOTM as a daily wearer...tough? Durable?
Considering this watch as a daily wearer, but can it handle the stress? I have been reading ceramic case horror stories and I am now reconsidering my position. Chime in with your experiences as to the toughness or daily durability of this watch. Thanks a ton as always guys. Love this forum! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
PP World Time 5575 - Discount
In case any of you were on the fence, this discount should seal the deal.
What the? Another EB with FremStar and myopiccoog?
You got that right. Caught up on watches and life in general (not necessarily in that order) right here in NYC, and even visited a few dealers on 47th street to check out the wares. Pics below. Rolex dominated this gathering, although Patek made a showing. Guess the reference numbers for each watch! If any of you will be in town please let us know! We'd love to meet up and talk shop!
