World Series- Dave Roberts - AP Diver
I'm pulling for the Astros but the Dodgers manager , Dave Roberts, appears to be wearing an AP Diver- black dial. He's ok in my book. Here is an old pic I found. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Michael Schumacher in serious skiing accident
edition.cnn/2013/12/29/sp...f1-motorsport/Apparently he was skiing with his 14 years old son. He fell and his head hit a rock, he was wearing a helmet. His now in coma, undergoing emergency neuro-surgery and the situation is life-threatning. Thought and prayers with him and his family right now.
Omega lume vs Rolex
I had my sub serviced a year ago and had a new dial and hands put in. The dial is legible all night, but compared to a 10 year old Omega, it's still pretty poor. Both watches exposed to same light all day. Says something about Omega quality.
In the market for an Omega: Planet Ocean vs. Speedmaster Pro
I am currently thinking about adding an Omega to the collection. The two strongest contenders is the Omega Planet Ocean Orange XL 2208.50 or the Omega Speedmaster Professional Double sapphire 3573.50. Having a hard time in deciding between the two. The newly released Planet Oceans really overshadow the old ones, and I am worried about getting a watch that will soon be dated.
Paperweight.
Thought I'd share something that happened today. Went into my AD to see the watch maker for some business and another gentleman walks in and has a TT black sub circa 2002 with some damage. Scratched crystal and bezel with the lume pip missing. He is asking the watch maker if he can still get a new bezel and he's paranoid because he doesn't want to wet it thinking the lume pip hole in the bezel is going to let water into the watch case As the watch maker is getting the bracelet off to open a work ticket the man mentions to me that it was passed down to/left to him and obviously meant something to him. I thought it looked ok but the watch looked off to me. The crystal seemed to sit higher than the bezel than it should but then again I don't have massive experience with older ones but I did own an 16610LV for a while. He's worried a full service right now will cost too much but just wants a new bezel fair enough. After some chit chat I hear Can't do anything with this, it's a fake the wa
