Baselworld 2015: New Versions of the Glash��tte Original PanoMaticLunar and PanoReserve (Updated with Live Photos)
A line extension doesn't just add one more version of the same watch. By offering different color and material combinations with a familiar movement, a brand can reconsider a watch model, or it can highlight links between different models by dressing them in similar clothes. This latter option is what happens with Glash��tte Original's new Pano offerings, which it presented for the first time at Baselworld 2015. The Saxony manufacture is bringing out new editions of its PanoMaticLunar and PanoReserve watches, each in a black or a blue theme.Until now, the Glash��tte Original PanoMaticLunar was available with a white or anthracite dial. The two versions that will come to market after the Basel fair are in matte black (with a rose-gold case) and dark blue (with a stainless-steel case). But, while bumming around bugging everyone from the museum curator to Kurt Klaus himself, I came across what is just seriously a beautiful watch. Which would you prefer?Am I mistaken when I say the diver retails for 19k and the stainless steel extra thin (JUMBO) retails for about 22k? Or is there a larger price difference?
