Kairos T-Band Strap With Screen Turns Any Watch Into A Smartwatch
The Kairos T-band is a clever product that many people have considered but one that hasn't come to production yet (as far as I know). What is it? It is a replacement for your normal watch strap that is actually a "smart band" device. The problem the Kairos T-Band is trying to solve is allowing traditional watch wearers the ability to enjoy the benefits of connected smartwatch technology without having to replace a traditional timepiece that they may love. The Kairos T-Band is essentially a replacement strap for timepiece that includes a touch screen, battery, and hardware to offer the various functions people want from a connected wearable device. You may have heard of Kairos based on our coverage of the brand back in June 2014. The Kairos concept was to produce a "hybrid" smartwatch that also includes a mechanical movement. A transparent touch screen was meant to sit over a traditional watch dial that was powered either by a Swiss Soprod movement or a less expensive Japanese Miyota mov
Zenith El Primero 410 Watch: Another Ode To The Past
Not willing to let the rather svelte grey Zenith El Primero 410 Limited Edition get that sweet movement all to itself, Zenith has launched another new 410 model which features a silver sun ray dial. The new Zenith 410 ref 03.2091.410/01.C494 shares most of its design and technical attributes with the 410 LE we showed you back in October. With a 42mm steel case and sapphire on both sides, the 410 forgoes the contrasting white-on-grey coloring and star markers at two and ten seen on the limited model, opting instead for uniform silver dial design. The silver dial and the blued steel accents make for a very attractive variation that seems a bit more reserved than the previous 410. Obviously still powered by the El Primero 410 movement, this El Primero still receives the 36,000 vph rate, column wheel-chronograph as well as triple date and moonphase complications. The day and month are shown in distinct apertures above the three and nine sub dials while the date is displayed via a convention
Curious...does anyone know the weight of the Rose gold rubber clad vs the RG 44??
Hey everyone,I'm sure this is a question I could answer by simply going to a jewelry store and weighing each (since I have both in my possession) but I was curious if anyone knew. They feel seem to feel about the same...almost as though the rubberclad is a tad heavier. I was interested to see if anyone knew. Thanks in advance!Best,Carlos

16610 next to 116610
Had a small gathering with a few watch enthusiasts here in Montreal tonight. It was organized by Canadian watch collectors and WatchPaper.Had the chance (for the first time) to see small and big, old and new or 16610 and 116610 next to each other. Although the 16610 is somewhat more charming, with the smaller markers, black bezel and tapered lugs - I can safely say the 116610 is a sure better option for me. It's just perfect!Thought I'd share some pics - enjoy!IMG_1597.jpgIMG_1598.jpgIMG_1599.jpgIMG_1600.jpgIMG_1607.jpgSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
