Which Patek Chrono to pair with ALS 1815 Chrono
Hey mates,I really enjoy my 1815 Chrono. Looking to add a Patek chrono to the mix as I moved a few watches out. Been debating between the 5170G black dial and the 5960P grey dial - which could be had for a very nice price these days (50K USD). Two different watches in aesthetics and movement architecture. But I just ran into a beautiful & untouched 5070G which I've been smitten by, so much better in the metal than in pics, I simply forgot how beautiful it is. So basically which Patek chrono would compliment my 1815 Chromo boutique edition (with the blue markings).5170G Black - different color and aesthetic to the Lange, dressier.5960P Grey - Totally different design and the addition of an annual calendar. More sporty and I've always had soft spot for the 59605070G - white dial. Absolute classic. Only appreciating in value. Interesting trip to pp ad
I swung into my locale patek ad today to price out an aquanaut. After talking for a bit he offered a 10% discount and stated that patek makes about 39000 watches per year and about 10% of those are in stainless steel which is why the discounts are low on the steel models, he also said that they can not keep aquanaut on their shelves and have a waiting list for when one does come in. The funny part is that as I was leaving he offered me 12% off a steel aquanaut on rubber if I paid with anything other then an Amex. I showed interest and he checked his computer for inventory and informed he does not have any at any of his stores ( which is what he had told me when I originally asked) but will call me if he gets one in. Other then the salesmen bs is there any truth behind his production numbers and steel vs precious metal numbers. Just curious.

Starting new year with PAM560!!
Hi guys, just got my first Panerai and after lot of back and forth went with the new 8 days movement and base model with cleaner dial. The watch looks great and love the rubber strap feel on my wrist. I was more of Radiomir over Luminor type of guy but eventually converted to Luminor watch style; maybe will get Radiomir someday but for now here is my PAM560!!Just some quick pics for now!
