Tissot T-Race Nicky Hayden 2010 Limited Edition Watch
Tissot has a goal to always be associated with the racing circuit in America. Other brands follow things like Formula One and other types of motor sports that people in the US don't really pay attention to. Tissot has been partnered with NASCAR (click here to read about their Danica Patrick watch), showing that it was quite interested to align itself with racing events that Americans might actually be interested it. In watch world gospel, "to be associated with popular sport, is to enjoy increased sales." In the same spirit, here is the newest version of the Tissot T-Race Nicky Hayden watch for 2010. The latest limited edition piece for the star motorcycle racer.Limited to 4999 pieces, the T-Race Nicky Hayden 2010 is an interesting piece that shows how the T-Race is maturing gracefully. Before Tissot redoes the design (which I think will come soon), this is their stock watch used as a base for its motor sports limited edition pieces. The case bezel and crown guard is meant to resemble
Dagaz Aurora Hands-On
The Dagaz Aurora dive watch is a mash-up of styles and is a refreshing departure from the pack of micro-brand divers that play it safe design-wise. The Aurora represents a very personal take by Jake Bourdeau, the owner of Dagaz Watch Ltd. (10watches), who came up with the design while vacationing?Macau and took home some solid winnings at the casinos."The inspiration for the piece came to me on my vacations in Hainan where we go scuba diving, and Macau, which is known as the Monte Carlo of the Orient' with its casinos and Grand Prix racing," he said. "The watch is, of course, first and foremost a dive watch, and is heavily inspired by both racing and casino influences, showing in the vintage rally diver feel and the roulette wheel dial."The Aurora feels like you're wearing a watch that can go on an adventure. It's a watch that attracts attention, but doesn't call for it. My officemates, who never say anything about my variety of watches, commented positively on the Aurora and a repeat
Thank You.....
I don't normally do Incomings but I will this time only because I formally want to thank David SW for coming through and going above and beyond. As everyone knows already, he is outstanding. I just got my first AP last week, as soon as I saw it I knew I needed another one and it was going to be the 15400. But I needed a chrono so I got this guySorry about sideways iPhone pic
Why is Hublot hated by AP Collectors?
Why is there is a general feeling amongst the AP crowd that Hublot is undesirable?Having watched that Hodinkee video with JCB, I've become more interested in Hublot. Some of the Hublot Big Bang models look pretty cool and are much cheaper than AP. Is it because it's more of a trendy watch? Lack of pedigree?Interesting looking watches but not sure if I like them enough to buy one?
