I֪ becoming a minimalist
Had the chance to pick this one up and couldn’t resist. It’s a thing of beauty. I actually like it more than the skeleton.
Ebay Auction Concerns
Gentlemen, earlier today I placed a winning bid on an AP Diver for $8300 + $100 shipping from Russia. This is my first big watch purchase and now getting second thoughts of moving forward. Here is the link:.ebay/itm/152173678172...%3AMEBIDX%3AITHas anyone purchased a watch like this on Ebay? The price is a little lower than the market rate so I am a little skeptical. The seller says it comes with all boxes and papers. What do you guys think? Thanks for the newbie help!!
Debating on AP
So here is the deal I have recently been looking into the Royal Oak Offshore collection specifically the volcano and safari theme. One of the trusted sellers who I have worked with in the past has a used G serial Volcano on the forum in the 14ish range. I was contemplating trading my subc a little over a year old and my Polar explorer 2 42mm towards it. Doing the math I would probably have to kick in around 2kish dollars (plus or minus a little). Was wondering what you guys on the AP forum would do. Trade 2 for 1? The Volcano would be my only watch so i would probably have to purchase a G-shock or something for when I'm working and the Volcano would be the home/weekend watch.thanks for any advice and I appreciate it
A little different than my usual but really impressed so far. AT 8500 inside
I picked this up this week and I am so impressed. I have always admired the AT from a far but once I started to do some research on the watch, I knew I had to own one at one time or another. The quality of this watch is hard to beat, the look, the feel, the comfort all rival watches that have cost me twice as much. Stunning teak grey dial that changes color at different angles, really cool by the way. Amazing movement with a 60 hr power reserve that does not need a service per my Omega boutique for approx. 10 years, which is pretty crazy. The applied markers are just perfect, the mix of polished and brushed areas on the case and bracelet really make the watch pop. Most who know me know I love to swim with my watches, well, I don't like taking off my watch too swim is probably more accurate. With a WR of 500ft, this makes a perfect companion for all those summer activities. Couple all of this with a Omega 4 year warranty and it is hard to pass up.I must say that this is the fi
First PP watch - Advice?
I am relatively new to the watch collecting, but like most forum members have referenced the bug catches quickly! I have acquired a number of Rolex, JLC, Panerai, Breitling and Tudor watches, but want to add my first Patek Phillipe to the collection.I am interested in purchasing my first Patek Philippe watch, but want to keep under a $30k budget. I really like the Aquanaut (5164 & 5167) and am beginning to lean in that direction.Any other models I should consider? Any advice/guidance on discounts from an AD?Thanks!
