3 Standout Features of Citizen Watch Co.’s New York Flagship Boutique
Citizen Watch Company of America has opened its first dedicated retail concept store in North America. The Japanese brand’s global flagship boutique, which opened its doors to the public on November 20, is located at 1500 Broadway, in New York City’s Times Square, and features a full range of Citizen watches and a number of innovative touches. Here are three aspects we found interesting.1. You’ll find Citizen watches here that you won’t find anywhere else in the U.S.A. The new 1,300-square-foot store is designed to appeal to both casual and serious watch lovers, carrying a wide range of Citizen watches, in all price points, for men and ladies including this year’s buzzed-about new release, the Citizen Satellite Wave F100, the world’s thinnest and fastest light-powered satellite timekeeping watch; the full range of solar-powered Citizen Eco-Drive watches; the DRIVE from Citizen Eco-Drive collection; the high-end Citizen Signature line; and numerous
Parmigiani Creates LE for Montreaux Jazz Festival
Parmigiani Fleurier is a main partner of the Montreaux Jazz Festival, known worldwide as an event that features the finest musical artists. For 2009, Parmigiani has created a limited edition of its Kalpa XL and Grande models with a graphic signature designed to echo the musical theme of this year’s Montreaux festival posters. Each year, Montreaux Jazz Festival founder and general manager Claude Nobs presents Parmigiani timepieces to distinguished featured artists. The limited edition pieces commemorate Parmigiani’s collaboration with the festival. Through the dial design featuring the swirl of a piano keyboard, Parmigiani expresses its heartfelt link to the event. Pink for ladies or blue for men, the dial of the Kalpa Grande or Kalpa XL has an hour, minute and central seconds display. Available only in steel, the model is fitted with a white python skin strap for the Kalpa Grande model or with a blue alligator strap for the Kalpa XL model. This year, the Parmigiani timepiece
Philippe Dufour Interview: Why He Is Disappointed With Today's Watchmakers
For a guy who is generally revered by some of the most well-funded watch collectors in the world, Mr. Philippe Dufour is a pretty humble and approachable guy. It isn't that he doesn't have an ego C everyone with the ability to admire the fruits of their own work clearly has an understanding of exactly how good they are C but rather that Mr. Dufour is an advocate of hard work and dedication above all else (including how people perceive him). In fact, I would suggest that having a waiting list of orders a few years long and being able to politely say "no" to new requests makes having an ego totally unnecessary. Should Philippe have one of those days where he is questioning himself, no doubt all he needs to do is be reminded that if he lived another 100 years, his work schedule could be easily booked. What I've always personally liked about Philippe Dufour as a man is his straight-forward way of approaching watchmaking. None of the glitz or smoke and mirrors of today's watch industry even

Milgauss's inner case size
Hi all,I recently got some watch tools and was messing around opening casebacks of my watches and looking/taking pics of the movements. But for the milgauss does anyone know what size opener I will need? The largest one I have is 29.5mm (which basically opens all rolexes) Thanks!
