11 Impressive Achievements From 140 Years Of Bulova Watches
Sponsored PostBulova: A History Of ModernThis year, American-founded Bulova celebrates their 140th anniversary after being founded by Joseph Bulova in 1875. Bulova himself was an immigrant to the United States, and his company quickly became one of the largest watch and clock makers in the country. Bulova existed not only at the height of America's dominance in timekeeping and wrist watch production, but also as many of the most important technological innovations in watchmaking were being developed.Joseph Bulova himself died in 1936, but not before the Bulova Watch Company hit it big in the early 1920s. Many of their early timepieces were produced in Switzerland, and likewise, today, the Bulova Accu-Swiss collection is Swiss Made. In 1926, Bulova was the first company to have a national US advertisement on the radio, and later in 1941, Bulova was also the first company to have an advertisement on television.Bulova was independently operated until 1979. The limited edition of Tag Heuer Monaco V4 Watch
The movement used belts of small rather than gear trains for much of the movement. The first watch made in Platinum in a limited edition of 150 pieces. I have written on the Tag Heuer Monaco V4 original watches here and here.
Now Tag Heuer brings the Monaco V4, in a slightly larger case (41 mm wide compared to 39 mm wide) and ceramic and the rose of gold ruthenium. The dial is black with various colours and elements of gold and pink. This time it will be limited to only 60 parts.

Help with Value on Breitling and Blancpain
I've been offered these watches by a friend of mine who is going through a divorce. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with these watches or their used value. Could someone give me an opinion of value for good and average condition? Boxes are included with each.
Any reason to believe this is not genuine? Is it worth it?
Hey guys,Stumbled across this add that got me interested.Ofcourse I will take it to patek for an authenticity check, but just based on pictures, is there anything that looks off?Just that it is a long drive, and I really don't want to be disappointed. It is a 2008 model, and never been serviced. Owner claims the watch is mint and barely been used, and functions with zero problems.I don't think the patek changed the movement or any of the physical characteristics between then and the current model; is that correct?Asking price is USD18,500.What do you guys think?
