New Speedmaster
I own a few Rolex, Breitling and a Ball watch and decided to try a Speedmaster, basic watch, Hesalite, leather deployment. This watch lives up to its reputation.Very comfortable, light weight and easy to use. I can see now why it's so widely sold and touted. Got a great deal on a new one and love it.
Where to buy Omega Mesh?
I'm looking for 22mm bracelet. Seatbelt preferred or deployment type if thats all thats available. I can find is 24mm from Ofrei and Cousins UK has nothing at all. Before I go the Omega boutique here in Manhattan does anyone have a source?
I Didn't Mean To
I just went in to look as a courtesy. Truly. I love the idea of a moon phase watch. I mean, it's just a super cool complication. But I'm gravitating towards smaller watches lately. That's not to say I don't admire larger size watches. I do. I just seem to be wearing my 39 or 40 mm watches. And all the reviews I've read state that this watch is BIG. I knew I was not going to like it. I was wrong. And it really doesn't feel big. In fact, on leather, it's downright butter on the wrist. Crazy comfortable. The looks just blew me away as I find it extremely attractive. i think it's the smallish lugs that make it wear smaller than it is. I wore it to sleep last night and I barely felt it on. And the lume was surprisingly strong for my nightly 2:00 ritual. Its definitely very thick, but I don't seem to notice that either. I'm 99% of the time with my sleeves rolled up anyway, so it's not a huge issue. Regardless of it all, and the fact that I continuously surprise myself with my ever evolving p
Seamaster Help
Hi All,Stepping away from the Rolex boards to make my first post here in Omega World. Simply, I'm trying to get some info on a watch I own.I was given this by my grandmother a year after my grandfather died. It was 1978 and I was 12 years-old. Since then it's spent most of its life in a safe deposit box. Now it's back on my wrist, and I've just been very curious to know what I've got here. It's got an 18K Gold stamp between the lugs, and that's about it. It hasn't been opened, so I'm afraid I can't get the serial number. But, knowing what year and any other details would be helpful. Also, I need to fill out my home owners insurance items, so an appraisal (even ballpark) would be great. Thanks so much, guys!
When will we see new DJ 36mm in steel?
With the release of the new TT version this year, how long before we're likely to see a stainless version with the upgraded movement and updated case?Haven't followed these things closely in the past, but is it the sort of thing where there will be an announcement via press release after a few months, or are the stainless versions typically released the following year at Basel? Also curious if/when the OP line is likely to see a similarly updated case design, as I really like the sharper edges/more tapered lugs and am starting to like the idea of a 36mm, light-faced watch (and no, it wasn't that stupid-ass GQ article someone linked to!).
