Survey Shows Affluent Losing Confidence in U.S. Economy
The Unity Marketing Luxury Consumption Index took its steepest quarterly plunge since the recession began, falling 16.8 points to 66 points in the second quarter. This is significantly lower than the previous quarter’s 82.8 points. The LCI currently stands close to the level attained at the onset of the Great Recession. Unity Marketing’s LCI is considered to be a leading indicator of the economic activity among affluent households. The survey of 1,272 consumers with an average income of $301,000 and an average net worth of $856,000 was conducted July 6-13.Corresponding to the decline in luxury consumer confidence, the average amount spent by affluent consumers on luxury goods and services in the second quarter declined by 8.4 percent from the first quarter and dropped 18.4 percent year on year.However it’s not all doom and gloom for luxury retailers. How goes it ladies and gents? I recently picked up my very first serious watch and wanted to share my excitement with some fellow watch lovers. Ive owned the watch for roughly a month at this point. I was too busy enjoying it to make a post! Anyway, lets get to it. - Ive been saving my pennies for sometime now. I turned 23 about 2 weeks ago and felt like it was the right time to treat myself to something nice. I initially was planning on grabbing a stainless steel Rolex Dayton. I still plan on adding one into my collection in the future, but I stumbled across an AP RO 39mm (ref. 15300) and fell in love. Different style finish on sea-dweller clasp
I noticed that the Sea-Dweller 116600 was made with two different styles of finish on the inside of the clasp.I know that the ones made in 2014 had the ��sandblasted' finish and later Rolex changed to the polished finish.Anybody knows when they changed, and why?
