SIHH: Lange’s New Saxonia Annual Calendar
At SIHH today Lange unveiled their new automatic winding Saxonia Annual Calendar. Available in white gold and in pink gold, the diameter is a modest 38.5mm, but the design focus was legibility and the watch is quite easy to read. The look is pure Lange and this piece offers much of the visual appeal of its perpetual calendar big brother. The movement features the famous Sax-O-Mat zero reset function which stops the movement when the crown is pulled out and resets the seconds hand to zero to allow easy syncronization with a reference time signal. The moon phase is accurate to within 1 day in 122 years. The movement came out of an early 80's beater given to me by a friend:Unfortunately I sold it in 2008 to help fund the Explorer II and have grieved ever since. Hello there! I know this has been discussed in great detail here... but I am curious if anyone owns both the Day Date II & Day Date 40, and can provide some good comparison images or maybe even a side by side video. I am looking to make this purchase within the next 6 months or so, so no rush... another reason why I don't want to go into let's say tourneau or wherever and be pressured or give false hope to the sales people that I am looking to make an immediate jump! Has anyone owned both the Pelagos and Black Bay?
I want to know even though the Pelagos is thicker and chunkier than the BB, since it's wider, does it feel more proportional? From what I remember the Pelagos seemed more comfortable and it didn't seem as blocky. Thanks.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
