Interview: The Shockingly Thin Piaget Altiplano Chronograph Explained By Piaget CEO Philippe Leopold-Metzger (VIDEO)
The chronograph is a decidedly difficult complication to produce – that much we know. After all, up until about 15 years ago there were less than a handful of manually wound chronographs in existence. Another great tenet of watchmaking is that of the ultra-thin movement, a specialty practically owned these days but nobody but Piaget. It was last December that we caught a glimpse of a truly extraordinary timepiece – the Piaget Alitplano Chronograph – a manually wound, in-house chronograph with fly-back mechanism and GMT function that was only 8.24 mm thick. Fantastic purchase from the professionals at DavidSW. My first Speedmaster (or Omega) and I can't believe I waited this long. I fully understand the following now! This watch is just beautiful in person and on the wrist.On a distressed leather nato until I can have the bracelet sized (those screws are really in there tight!).

I was lucky enough for my Grandpa to give me one of his watches as a present earlier this year. I know nothing about watches honestly, but have heard Omega is one of the nice brands out there. I'd love to know some history on the watch, and if I can find out what year it was made that would be great. My Dad just had it polished and cleaned up a little for me for Christmas so it's looking pretty nice Also, how would I find out the value of the watch? I would never sell it, but I'd like to know the value.Thanks guys/gals!

Hey guys,What do you guys prefer on a GMT 16710 coke, the Jubilee option or the Oyster option? I have included photos for reference (jubilee photos borrowed from google).
