Bring a Loupe: A Rolex With Tiffany Dial, A B-Series Royal Oak With Original Papers, An Early Zenith El Primero, And Many Others
You probably noticed that the HODINKEE Shop started offering vintage watches last Tuesday. What does this mean for this column? Well, nothing really. Bring A Loupe is still alive and kicking; each week, you can expect to find the coolest watches from all over the world. And this week, BAL will include a dressy Rolex with Tiffany dial, a B series Royal Oak, and a Bovet Mono-Rattrapante. There is also a great selection of chronographs, from a tropical Wakmann to an early Zenith El Primero. This is your Bring A Loupe for March 11, 2016. An Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Reference 5402 B Series With Original Papers 1 OF 7 Launching the Royal Oak was definitely a bold move from AP in 1972, as this sporty looking watch in stainless steel cost more than a dressy Patek in gold at the time. Chronograph Pusher Reset Button Stuck
AP ROO Chronograph pusher is stuck.. any ideas on a fix? The chronograph seconds hand was not resetting at 0 and now the pusher to reset the chronograph is stuck. Also, the seconds hand is in free-spin so if I flick my wrist the seconds hand spins freely. Is this because the reset pusher is stuck down? Thanks.
My new Connie!
I have always wanted a high precision quartz watch and they don't come much higher than this ( most owners quote real world timing to be somewhere between +5/10 seconds a year and the lower figure being the norm!Thermocompensated and acknowledged to be one of the finest quartz movements ever made...And now it is mine!My AD gave me an offer I simply could not refuse and this watch is stunning in every way and shape, the finish is one of the finest I have seen in a watch, Omega have really pulled the stops out with this one, it is a shame ETA have now discontinued the movement. So here ladies and gentlemen is my Omega constellation double eagle perpetual calendar (what a mouthfull!)In one of the pictures it appears the second hand does not hit the marker, that is an optical illusion as it hits the marker with absolute precision!
Question about OEM straps
Hey guys!I need some help. I just picked up a 233 and when I have it on my wrist, the strap is either too tight or too loose. I'm between sizes, I believe that it has to do with where panerai punches their holes on the strap. So with the said, do I have to go aftermarket? Thanks in advance.
