5 Citizen Eco-Drive Watches from Recent Baselworld Shows
Japan’s Citizen Watch Co. introduced a number of watches at recent Baselworld shows, many powered by the brand’s renowned Eco-Drive solar technology, which absorbs power for the movement from sunlight. Here are five Citizen Eco-Drive watches (prices included) that are in stores now.The Citizen Eco-Drive Dress (Ref. BU2016-00A) has a two-tone stainless steel/rose gold case measuring 44 mm in diameter. The silver dial has applied rose-gold-toned indices. The watch, which contains Citizen’s Eco-Drive Caliber 8729, has an analog day and date display and both 12-hour and 24-hour time indication. The Eco-Drive Dress comes on a black alligator strap and retails for $325.The Citizen Eco-Drive Avion (Ref. AW1361-01E) is a military aviator-style timepiece with a 45-mm stainless steel case, black dial, and black leather strap with white contrast stitching. The date at 3 o’clock and pointer at 12 o’clock are reminiscent of vintage pilots’ watches. The watch indi
Help me Choose...
Ok, so let's assume I have a 15202 incoming and currently own 26170 on bracelet (ap ROO panda)I want to trade the panda towards a new watch and a few are running through my head:Ceramic/Forged Carbon ROO Chrono 44Ceramic/Ceramic ROO Chrono 44Ceramic Diver 42 - the boutique edition 15707ceForged Carbon Diver 42Ceramic/Steel ROO Chrono 44I am leaning more toward the 44 as I love the wrist presence of the current AP Panda and am not sure the 42 diver will provide. I will have the 15202 covering the bracelet and non Chrono so feel like Chrono on rubber is nice complement. Have also wanted a black watch for a while. But I also love the boutique only ceramic diver with see through case back and awesome movement. Plus down the road should do well. Which would you choose in my position and why? Thanks,Mike
Too big , too small or just nice?
Hi all,The 15400 is too big, too small or fit like a glove for my wrist?Silver or blue for my skin tone? :pCheers
Is buying a new Speedmaster Professional lame?
I find myself with some spending money to burn, but not enough for a new Rolex. Since I got my gen2 Exp1 in October that seems reasonable.I've finally realized that I'm just not into vintage, I'd rather start fresh and make my own way with a watch (nothing against vintage of course). Plus I'm still totally confused by the Speedmaster lineage, and I really care about nice bracelets, have heard Omega makes good ones, and also like that the new Speedmaster has screws instead of pins.So is it lame buying a new Speedmaster? For some reason it feels like it is, maybe because vintage is so in right now. I'm seriously considering a Seiko Marinemaster as well, which I think I love (apart from the bracelet), and dive watches sing to me loudly, but I dunno. I'm also knocking around buying a Seiko Sumo and saving up some more for when my wife goes to the UK in April in the hopes she could find me a no date SubC, hard as that is these days. Also does anyone pay retail for a new Speedmaster Professio
Daytona Advice Needed
I currently have a 116520 White Dial. I have an option to get a New Ceramic Black Dial 1165500. For those of you that own or owned 116520 and 116500 either white or black, and you have to choose, which one you prefer and why. Those of you that sold 116520 to get 116500, any regrets? If I pass, it will be a while for next opportunity as there are a number of people on the list. I don’t want to flip the 116500 as I value opportunity from the AD.Thanks
