AUDEMARS 15710ST WHITE DIAL OR Black DIAL
Hi all Just a quick question I'm going to be pulling the trigger on an AP offshore diver I keep hearing that the White dial is rarer then a black dial?? Does this have an impact on purchase price?Which one should I go for black or white dial?What is a good price to pay on one mint, boxed and complete?I'm still searching just want to know a good price range I should stick at?Thanks in advance all!MWAS HAPPY HUNTING AND WEAR IN GOOD HEALTH.
Locating a good dealer for new purchase.
I recently visited the local boutique (Texas) and identified a couple of watches that I loved, but I was still shopping and wasn't quite ready to pull the trigger. Since then, I've pretty much narrowed it down to either the Speedmaster moonwatch (ref. 311.30.42.30.01.006) or Seamaster Diver (ref. 212.30.41.20.03.001) with the speedy as the favorite, but the Seamaster hanging in due to price difference.I'm interested in locating a dealer out of state to hopefully avoid the 8% sales tax, so I was hoping to see if anyone had any recommendations. Also, with the gray market pricing being the absolute floor and full retail at the boutique being the ceiling, what are bad, good, and great prices for these pieces as I'm shopping them out?
Dad's old Omegas - opinions
My father passed away in December.While going through his stuff we found these 2 older (70's I guess) Omega watches, both in rough shape, especially the Seamaster. The SeamasterI love watches, and I loved my father very much, and my question is are either one of these watches possibly worth refurbishing? I would think they would both take quite a bit of work. I assume the Seamaster is the most valuable of the two, but I'm not sure.I can get neither watch to run. They are both automatics and I have shaken them well and neither will start. I can wind the Seamaster but it still wont run. The other one is missing the crown.Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.
First AP potentially
Well, thanks to all of you enablers (and my own personal issue of always wanting the next thing) I'm trying to decide my next addition. I'm thinking of one of the following: the PP 5711, AP Blue Jumbo in SS or RG, or the Rolex YM with blue dial. My current collection consist of the following: Rolexes DDII RG w Ivory Dial, YGG MTIIC with green dial, YG SubC with black dial, TT SubCII with Blue dial, Explorer II black dial, PAM 233, PP 5726 black with bracelet, and a few Breitlings.
Panerai...are they still a big deal?
I haven't read or heard much about Panerai lately. Is the Panerai craze over?
