In-Depth: The Chopard Group Launches La Chronomtrie Ferdinand Berthoud, And FB 1, A Marine Chronometer For The Wrist
On September 22nd, the Chopard Group (which includes Chopard, the watch and jewelry maison, as well as Fleurier Ebauches, SA, the movement manufacturer) announced the very first timepiece from La Chronométrie Ferdinand Berthoud. La Chronométrie Ferdinand Berthoud is a new business for the Group – it was first announced in 2013, and its first wristwatch represents what co-presidents Karl-Friedrich Scheufele and Caroline Scheufele (brother and sister) hope will be the first in a series of wristwatches inspired by the life and work of Ferdinand Berthoud. These watches are intended to be a no-holds-barred exercise in luxury watchmaking, and will occupy a commensurate price point, but according to Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, whom we interviewed at the launch event at the Yacht Club de France, Chopard also hopes to stimulate interest in, and awareness of, one of the most important figures in the history and evolution of the marine chronometer. 1 OF 17 Ferdinand
Airwolf Raven
I originally lusted after an Airwolf Raven (along with a Submariner) with black rubber strap and black dial and went shopping for one about two years ago to find they had been discontinued. I've seen from places like Chrono24 that pre-owned Breitling watches don't seem to hold their value which makes them exceptional value.Does anyone know a reputable pre-owned Breitling dealer(s) in Singapore so I can go for a look-see?
Great article in the June Watchtime on Omega Speedmasters.
Well worth reading.
Surprise incoming
So....... I got the call. I had never seen one up close before. Absolutely love it. Can't wait for summer now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've been bit by the 36mm bug!
My wrist is around 6.5 inches, but because it is flat on top, I have real estate to wear watches up to 42 mm and up to 48.5 lug-to-lug (BB, Speedy, etc.). I recently bought a Datejust 116200 (36mm), and it feels prefect as soon a I put it on! Now I've caught the 36mm bug and wish my other watches were smaller!Has anyone else gone through this?
