1 week in...
So Last Saturday my AP ROO RC arrived. I got a wild hair from reading this forum that I really wanted an AP, after more research I decided on the RC as it really fit my style was 42mm and in the lower price bracket for AP. I have NEVER seen an AP in real life so I had a number of questions and I wanted to trade a Rolex that no longer sees much wrist time so I needed some guidance. I started the journey by contacting a few sellers here on the forum, all where helpful but based on the offerings we could not make a deal. Jacob (Deep-House) was referred to me by a friend and was the most helpful. Jacob did not have a RC in my price range but felt he could find an appropriate piece, about 3 weeks later he sent me a text on a RC he just took in and we made a deal. I shipped my Rolex and made a wire transfer, this was my first transaction of this type and because I could find no reviews on Jacob here I would not have done it if a trusted friend of mine had not made a transaction with Jacob i
Trying to make some decisions
I am selling my Rolex 14060 Sub to acquire a Planet Ocean 2500 in orange. With the cash left over, which model should I go for: 2254.5 or the classic Bond in blue wave? I had the 2264.5 and sold it to acquire my Sub. I would have kept it if it was the auto model. I have always loved the blue but never been crazy about the font of the numbers on the bezel. That said, I like both watches but think that the bezel rings are pretty useless without some sort of a coin edge. I am going back to an all Omega watch collection and would appreciate any input you may have to offer. Thanks form looking.
All 8 days
Hi all... I've rejoined rolex forum, though I'm into many watch brands except Rolex. I own JLC, Panerai, IWC, Longines and Omega. I need to add an 8-day Pam to the collection (and a 5711/1A-010 PP), for function, so I thought of starting a thread dedicated to starting a conversation on this functional movement(s). Though I need help from the pros here with a list of all 8-day pams available, to get the conversation going on pros and cons, collectability and likeability by all paneristis.... cheers
AD to keep warranty card
Added my name to waiting list for 116610LN and was called back 2 days later to say one was in stock (was not expecting that!).Now a few months on I have added my name to the list for the 116610LV. If your not on the list you'll never get to the top of the list! I was told between 2-5 years. It was explained that the AD will keep the warranty card for a period of 12 months before releasing it. This is even the case for repeat Rolex customers. It is obviously to prevent people buying and selling fast. Not my intention. Intend on selling LN once in possession of LV.I'm just wondering if this is common practice
Markup on a Rolex
Does anyone out there know for certain % markup on a new Rolex from an AD?
