Perrelet Jumping Hour Watch For 'Non Conformists'
Perrelet watch company's new marketing message is that Perrelet watches are for non conformists. That is easy to say, but I like the message. It says me that they don't want everyone wearing their watches (Rolex) they want just a select few who really 'feel' when they experience what the brand has to offer. It is an interesting approach, but I think it works well for them.Perrelet is a brand that I think I am going to increase my coverage on. The brand has a very long history, but I am going to focus on their more modern offerings for the most part. Today I want to share with you their Jumping Hour watch. The design is really classy. With an avant garde circles withing circles look, and a resemblance to Jaquet Droz's designs that emphasize the seconds dial. The reason I really like Jumping Hour watches is their convenient simplicity and ease of use. To tell the time you glance at the digit in the hour window (for the hour), and then observe the position of the minute hand. It reduces th

The Ferrari Skyhawk A-T introduced by the brand in 2007 is a powerfully designed men's watch aimed at gadget lovers and aviation fans. Based on the 15-year history of the Skyhawk line, the timepiece has smartly combined Ferrari's Eco-Drive movement with atomic timekeeping (A-T) technology and a new design.
Let's talk Volcano
This is a model, in the AP line that is something of a love/hate model isn't it?Friends of mine seem to love it or hate it. I love the model, but since it is a model evoking strong emotions on both side of the +/- spectrum, I'm a bit afraid to take the plunge on one...Orange. It's a strong color no doubt. I've always liked the color orange, as do I like the color yellow. The brighter the better! Like on the FC Diver. Having a splash of color in you live is usually a good thing. Is the Volcano a slow seller? I'm getting a hint it may just be. And down the line if I regret it, it could be another expensive lesson! I guess some of my worries are ultimately down to, will I keep it.... Probably not forever, but I'm a bit afraid it may be a too in your face as something of a daily watch. I try and give equal wrist time to my watches, and right now I feel I'm at that point. No longer like when I still had the AP ROC in white gold that I sometimes didn't wear for months! Silly to keep a 25K (u

Incoming- new to PP family!
....Had a busy day between client meetings and nonstop communications with Oscar (Bodybump) who was able to amazingly find me a BNIB 5167 on strap(Thank you for the hard work to source the piece, and putting up with me!) Said goodbye to my AP Diver (much love- time to move on-but could come back to the collection someday). A 5167 and DSSD is a fine balance for now.....and should be wearing a 5167 for my flight Thursday night! (if it makes it in time between leaving client site and flying out for the weekend.... ...it's race against time- fingers crossed!!! If not, I'll pick it up on Monday)Will post pictures upon receipt. Finally able to to progressively (Timex, Tag, PAM, Omega, Rolex, Rolex, AP) reach one of my childhood dreams of owning (merely taking care for the next generation ) a Patek. Ecstatic the day has finally come after lots of hard work.... and is just the start towards my current grail, 5726 or the new 5990A. Thank you'll for the enabling pictures (shout out to Puffy on t
