The Ulysse Nardin Dual Time Manufacture Gets 2 New Looks
For years, one of the signatures of Ulysse Nardin has been its fine GMT watch. The Dual Time models have a legible dial with just two center-mounted hands, making for a simple, intuitive reading of the time in multiple locations. In 2014, the brand re-released the Dual Time with an important advancement: an in-house movement produced in UN’s Le Locle factory. At this year’s Baselworld, the brand added two more versions of the Dual Time Manufacture, including a nautically-themed limited edition. Both new versions of the Dual Time Manufacture come in a 42-mm gold case. It is water resistant to 30 meters. The watches maintain the dial layout of their predecessors: local time is shown by the center-mounted hour and minutes hands, with small seconds at 6 o’clock. Just saw a RG Schumi at my AD. Retail is HK$614k (~US$79k). Given I recently bought a 44mm RG novelty from them about a month ago they offered me a 18% discount on the Schumi. I think I can get them down to 20% which will be ~HK$490k (~US$63k).Assuming I can sell the 44mm RG novelty for HK$290k (~US$37k), sell my panda ROO on bracelet for ~HK$100k (~US$13k), I would need to put in another HK$100k (~US$13k) to make the schumi purchase.Would you guys do this if you were me?

Patek and the infamous diamond...
Just curious if anyone knows the quality of the diamond Patek Philippe sets at 6 o'clock (most of the time between the lugs..sans the awesome pt nautlius) of their platinum pieces. I've had a 5140P and always got asked about it from friends that knew Patek but have never actually pursued an answer until now. Thanks! ....in terms of GIA (VS1, VS2...so on and such) Thanks!
