Three Luxury Women's Watches With Real Movement; From Van Cleef & Arpels, and Chopard, Perrelet
...Watch movement. No, I don't just mean the watch movement that powers the watch. I mean something about these watches literally 'moves' in a playful sense to add interest and novelty to that watch. Men's watches don't really have things that just flail about, but women's watches are meant to attract attention, both from the wearer, and her audience. You'll notice that these three watches heavily feature the use of diamonds. Well women do like diamonds, but there is another reason. Not to sound remedial, but people like diamonds because they shine. The shine comes from light refracting off the various flat planes on the cut gem. When you are inspecting a diamond, you gently turn it in the light to admire its sparkle. Using this same concept, the designers of these three watches specifically places diamonds on the moving parts so as to enhance the sparkle factor. I do hope that "sparkle factor" now becomes an industry terms. The first watch is a new release from Van Cleef & Arpels. Th
Love my ROC
Hey Guys, I've been a long time viewer/drooler but this is my first time posting on the forums. I need this forum's expert advice on choosing a new watch. I've been working really hard and saving up since a year for a reward so I've decided to purchase my first AP as a birthday gift to myself (I'm turning 24 in a few months).I currently own a Hublot Big Bang Chrono 44mm Steel/Ceramic and a Chopard Mille Miglia GT XL in Steel. I use the Hublot as a weekend watch and plan on selling the Chopard. I plan on keeping this watch for the next 10 years or so. I've shortlisted the following watches:1. Royal Oak Chrono in Steel: 26320ST.OO.1220ST.01/02 - Seems a bit understated but more practical than the others due its ability to fit under the cuff and go well from day to night situations. It was comfortable on my wrist but I haven't worn a steel bracelet in a while so not sure about how I would adapt to it. 2. Royal Oak Offshore Chrono: 26170ST.OO.D101CR.02 (old Panda) or 26470ST.OO.A027CA.01 (

I just bought the off shore volcano and was wondering where a good place to buy a rubber band is?
Incoming and my Patek story
As a child, I came across this beautiful watch at the local swap meet - a fake Patek Philippe. My mom saw how enthralled I was and asked if I wanted it for my birthday. I think it was around $150 after some wheelin, which was a lot of money back then for a working class family. I didn’t know about watches then but knew the real deal would be even sweeter, a goal to reach for. So I distinctly recall saying, all serious and with water in my eyes, “no thanks mom, I’m gonna be so stinkin rich and buy the real thing”. She smiled and said I can do it. I was maybe 12 at the time.... fast forward, I’m not quite there yet but the aspiration of owning a Patek never left my mind. I recently turned 27 and decided to fulfill a childhood dream. Yeah, today I’m grinning like a mad man.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
