Patek Philippe Watches Offer Great "Pick Up Line" In New Ad Campaign
Given the status that Patek Philippe holds in the watch community, I can safely hold them to a very high standard - even in their marketing. Starting in August of 2010, Patek Philippe will roll out a new advertising campaign for its womens watches. Watch advertising is crucially important because they make important value propositions to consumers, as well as communicate essential branding information that relates to how people perceive brands and luxury watches over all. Given that, I find it hilarious when I see an ad that makes me think about having a three-way.Which is exactly what Patek Philippe's new slogan (as presented here) sounds like a pick up line for. Not just any three-way, but an inter-generational one. "Hey mom, daughterdon't you agree that something truly precious holds its beauty forever? Can I interest you two in some Champagne?" Which in the ad is proceeded by the mother and daughter clutching hands while they giggle abruptly and exchange glances. Sure they'll have
Watch Spotting: Super Bowl 50 Champion Peyton Manning Wearing A Panerai Radiomir On The Tonight Show
Whether it was for the sport, the commercials, the halftime show, or the incredibly awesome nachos (add chorizo – you're welcome), you were likely one of the 111.9 million viewers that tuned into that big football game called Super Bowl 50. This year we saw the Broncos beat the Panthers 24-10, led by quarterback Peyton Manning. 1 OF 1 It's no secret that athletes like watches, just see here and here, so it was no surprise that during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon we at HODINKEE noticed a rather large watch on Peyton's wrist. After a closer look we're pretty sure that it is in fact a Panerai Radiomir Composite 3 Days 47 mm. The more you know.Watch the full video below. Don't have the HODINKEE App yet? Ro 15300
Guys, question: i am trying to score a RO 15300. Found one from 2007 pretty much mint. It does not have a guarrantee anymore but seller claims it has recently been serviced by a non AP shop. The fact that the watch was serviced by a non authorized dealer is a red flag or pretty much not a problem?Watch runs within cosc spec today. Also, anything to be aware of regarding 2007 run? Thanks a lot!
Good deal on ck2998?
I found a brand new ck2998 in Japan and with the tax free, additional 5% off and exchange rate it will come to $5413. Of course I would still have the tax when returning to the US. I held off on buying but they had two in stock so I'm sure it will be there in a few days if I decide I really want it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Final outcome to: If only one BLNR or Bluesy Sub C!!!
Ok , so life happened and I've become a One watch guy for awhile ... As I loved both the BLNR and the Bluesy Sub C plus my TT Sub Black dial 5 digit ref ... I trimmed the collection down to one hopefully temporarily... The TT Black dial Sub went on to greener pastures and so did one more ... Can you guys guess which one survived the cut ??? Not that I can't say, it's just makes it a little more fun between the 2 because they are both excellent and stunning references in their own right plus the decision wasn't easy either .... So which one stayed and which one moved on to greener pastures?BLNR or Bluesy Sub C... ?Prior thread if interested:https://.rolexforums/showthread.php?t=532861
