Movement Hands-On Series Episode 3: The Revolutionary Eterna Caliber 39
The Eterna Caliber 39 is one of the most interesting developments to come from the modern Swiss watch industry. Although we covered the news about the Eterna?Caliber 39 here some two years ago, we had not heard too much about how much progress Eterna had made with developing the Caliber 39. By early 2015, that has at last changed, and we have seen all major iterations of the Eterna?Caliber 39. It is thanks to this spectacular encounter?that coming up now is the third episode in our unique Movement Hands-On Series. Advice on crown threads
Hi. If the crown threads catch and then the crown becomes gritty because of a bit of wear, if I clear this with a waxed bit of dental floss (as suggested in other threads here), would this (a) invalidate the warranty, (b) strip the crown threads of oils and does it matter and (c) mean that potentially wax could get through the gasket? Not much should get through the seal. Thanks!
Two hour flight for my rolex
So my local AD has me on a ~3 month wait-list for my watch, while a more distance AD seems to suggest that I can get one within the month. Although I would have to hop on a plane for 2 hours (4 hours round trip) to pick up said watch. Tax savings and/or perceived (read assumed) discount will more then cover the cost of a ticket. Of course I am not hoping on a plane until the distance AD text me a picture of my watch. Is there any downside from getting a watch from AD that won't be readily accessible going forward? Would potentially make a day trip out of this when/if availability raises.
