Linde Werdelin Watches At Baselworld 2009 Video
Linde Werdelin is mighty proud of their first year at Baselworld. It marks a big occasion, a true entrance into the world not only making watches, but being part of the watch industry. So proud that they have enlisted bloggers like me and RJ at Fratellowatcheswatches-dealer to share with you the novelties and personalities you would have seen if you were at Basel this year. The people at Linde Werdelin are people. More importantly they understand good watches and they understanding modern ways of selling good watches. They are of the few luxury watch brands selling online. This is because they understand the modern market, as many older watch makers still poke at the Internet with a queazy face just as a youngster would to a plate of liver and onions.Aside from their Internet presence, watch for Linde Werdelin watches to appear in select watch retailers and boutiques soon. See the video below for some nice watches, and views of Basel.
Bring a Loupe: A Patek Tool Watch, The First Diver Ever From Omega, A Stunning Rolex, And Many Other
This week's Bring A Loupe will present to you some unusual, even a bit outlandish, yet truly beautiful watches. Let's start with a tool watch that Patek manufactured in the 1960s, with a stainless-steel case! You will also discover two rare divers, the Omega Marine – the first diver watch ever produced – and a more recent Universal Geneve. Unfortunately, we will also need to flag many doubtful pieces that you should stay clear of. This is your Bring A Loupe for September 18, 2015. A Tool Watch From Patek, The Amagnetic Reference 3417 1 OF 8 Countless times you have heard in Bring A Loupe that steel Pateks are rare. What about a tool watch that can face the aggression of magnetic fields? Yes, this is what the Patek Philippe "Amagnetic" reference 3417 is all about, and only about 500 of them were ever produced. We introduced you to this incredible reference in the past here and our infatuation with this model has not decreased one bit si
Question about Patek servicing in the UK
Hi,I've got a couple of questions about Patek Philippe servicing in the UK, and hopefully someone here can give me some pointers. I've heard conflicting things about how long a PP service can take, generally. Could anyone let me know what the current typical service turn-around time in the UK is for a time-only manual-wind Calatrava (5119, 3919, that sort of idea) ? Secondly, what's the average final price for the servicing of the same, assuming no out-of-the-ordinary work is required ?
AD offered me their first SS Pepsi
Over the past couple of years I've developed a wonderful relationship with my AD. He shoots me straight and takes care of me. I've gotten my choice of DaytonaC with minimal wait and several other pieces harder to obtain. No granted that VIP treatment did not happen over night but the more business I did with the more priority I was give. I get that, its business. You take care of your best and repeat customers. At any rate, got a call the other day asking if I wanted to be first on the list for the SS Pepsi. I declined, as I'm not a GMT man but greatly appreciated the offer and consideration. In our short conversation I did ask him how much interest the new SS Pepsi was generating. He said it was about like any other Basel release. He has had a few inquiries of course but wanted to give me the option of getting the watch before anyone else just passed it onto the grey market.
