5 Things You Should Know About the Audemars Piguet LeBron James Royal Oak Offshore
With the NBA playoffs in full swing, and LeBron James’s Cleveland Cavaliers moving on to the second round, we re-present our feature on the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore LeBron James limited edition, launched in fall 2013, which had the design input of James himself. Here are five things to know about the timepiece. 1. It’s not what one usually expects in a star athlete-branded sports watch. “King James’s” Audemars Piguet is not predominantly black; it does not display his current team’s colors or his jersey number; it has no obvious references to his sport (i.e., the baseball counterweight on the seconds hand of Randy Johnson’s Ulysse Nardin or the basketball pattern on James’s teammate Dwyane Wade’s Hublot); and it’s not even overly large (the case is a relatively modest 44 mm in diameter). The color scheme choice of light gray (in certain light, it appears almost off-white) for the dial and alligator strap, combin
I am hooked, jsut not on which one
I have the ich to but another watch and the AP sure have my eye and my thoughts. In my collection I have Rolexes TT DJII (ivory dial), WG Sub, DDII Platinum (ice dial), SS Daytona (black dial) Patek 5726 (white dial) Breitling Nav.Looking at the Royal Oak and Royal Oak offshore. Saw a great dark brown strap. Was kind of thinking of a Rose Gold piece but thinking of a ROO but sort of like the strap on these. Is the RO a better buy than the offshore. I don't like small watches, my Daytona is as small as i would ever go. I like to purchase the rightmodel of the watches I buy. As I am brand new to AP I want the right one. Which one is truly the must have piece?
Took the royal oak out to sea
For a lovely day on isle of wight Sun came out today so had a trip down south to spend the day in Cowes yachting capital of the world PS - not my yacht
2010 Olympic Edition
Has anyone bought the Seamaster olympic version? I would like to see some wrist shots if you have them.I really would like a white faced watch and the only real option (for a LONG time) is the Rolex Exp II which costs about $6800 here in Canada. I always found it a tad bit small and the Seamaster line to be just right. When I spoke to my AD he said that alot of people like the olympic version but dislike the red besel and olympic symbol on the second hand which apparently both can be changed.Let me know.
