Hublot Is Official Watch Maker & Timekeeper Of Ferrari
Hublot announced today that they have partnered with Ferrari to become (among other things) their official watch maker and official time keeper. This means that during their agreement only Hublot can produce Ferrari branded timepieces. Hublot will also be a branded partner during Ferrari events (and likely the Ferrari name will be displayed at many Hublot events). They refer to this as a "comprehensive agreement covering all the activities of Ferrari and Hublot..." I know, a bit vague, but I think we get the idea.Ferrari has had an interesting history with watches. For a long time there were a range of lower-priced quartz watches. Then they worked with high-end brand Girard-Perregaux for some nice watches. After that they entered into what most people generally agree was a failed relationship with Panerai. After that Cabestan produced some very interesting highly limited Ferrari timepieces. There might be even more history that I am not considering. Starting today it is all about Ferra

Planet Ocean Good Planet GMT vs. Bullhead
Recently I had the opportunity to look at, and handle, the Seamaster Planet Ocean Good Planet GMT and limited edition Bullhead and I'm curious - which watch would you pick (ignoring the price difference)? The unique shape of the Bullhead is very interesting to me but, on the flip side, I also find the blue and orange colour combination of the Good Planet very attractive. This is even more so if you consider Good Planet with the blue rubber strap.Max
Omega Planet Ocean Question
Hello all, Has anyone had any experience with poor quality control from Omega or just me. I have a Omega PO that I thought the bezel didn't line up but as it turned out the hole for the stim & crown was drilled 4 degrees off. I know that because the Omega service center in clearwater FL descovered it. so the dial & the bezel are not centered. And no Omega is not going to repair it even though they admitted it somehow shipped through QC. See pic's below. Thanks,Gary
Buying in the UK vs USA
Hiyas,Ive been pondering getting either a Broad Arrow GMT or a Speedmaster Day Date. Although I like the 50th anniversary LE Im not sure about the hippocampus on the face. Looks a tab busy, but I kinda still like it!Anyways, Being a American in the UK whats the better place to purchase a new Omega? I should be able to get the VAT off which is 17.5% so in reality, does 17.5% off bring the UK price in line with USA MSRP prices which do not include tax?If the prices are about the same shopping in the UK vs USA doesnt matter. I/ve read that 30% off is doing good, can this be achieved in Cambridge or London? Ive looked at a few and gotten the what can we do to sell you it today ? spiel but wasnt ready to buy then. ThanksDrew
