Introducing the Bulgari Octo Finissimo Tourbillon, The Thinnest Tourbillon Ever Created
The new Bulgari Octo Finissimo Tourbillon is thin, really thin. In fact, this watch houses the thinnest movement with a flying tourbillon ever created – coming in at just 1.95mm. That's around the thickness of a nickel (think about that for a moment). The movement, with 249 components, was designed first around the tourbillon cage, which determined the final thickness (or thinness). It's a remarkable feat of engineering and design that no watch enthusiast can ignore.Every millimeter counts when designing a watch of this profound thinness. To save more space, the regulator assembly was removed, with timing adjustments now made directly on the balance wheel. The barrel is stabilized and guided by three ball bearings, a design solution that also allowed the hairspring to be doubled, resulting in an impressive power reserve of 55 hours for a watch of this size. 2 OF 2 The new Bulgari calibre is just 1.95mm thick. Finally got the speedmaster pro
My first real luxury watch was a speedmaster day/date, which I loved, and it fit my wrist perfectly at 39mm. I sold it a while back because I wanted the real speedmaster. I finally got the pro and it lives up to every bit of the hype, but is it too big for my 6.75 inch wrist? I hate large watches on me and normally don't go over 40mm. What do you guys think ?
Some memory help please
While I have been a Rolex fan most of my adult life I have not followed them closely until the last few years. Heck I had never even heard of basel world. With that said, what year did Rolex go crazy? By that I mean the release of the jewel encrusted animal prints, the flowered dials and the like? Or did this happen over a few years?
BLNR = Nice
Thanh aka takuya, thanks so much for the great transaction and great addition to my collection!I also changed the bracelet to the gridlock, and I like the comfort. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Date just for wife (AD discount?)
Hello everyone,First time poster... after dealing with me for 14 years and having 4 of my children I've decided I want to treat my wife to a nice watch. This is something she would never consider buying for herself or expect it but I know she will be thrilled and she deserves it. I've narrowed it down to a 36mm steel Datejust with a white Roman dial or the 36 Datejust with fluted bezel and diamond dial. I live in Chicago have have visited 2 ADs, one offered me no discount (I didn't push as I didn't like the salesperson) and the other offering 10-11%.I know I can get a better deal on here or grey dealer but I want this to be new so she could exchange if she wants to and she can go to the AD for fitting, sizing, extended warranty, cleaning, buffing, etc... what type of discount should I expect for these models? Im paying cash and both agreed to ship to my business out of state to save on taxes.Thanks in advance for the info!
