Rolex used to do stuff like this more often, but over the last decade or so we have seen a lot less implementations of experimental Rolex "instruments" and watches used in special events. The last time we saw anything like this was the production of the Rolex Deepsea Challenge concept dive watch. Omega X-33 watch lovers will rejoice to know that for 2014, Omega is releasing a brand new version of the X-33 called the Omega Speedmaster Skywalker X-33. You can now insert relevant Luke Skywalker and other related Star Wars references. This is an interesting move as just two years ago in 2012 Omega released what was supposed to be the modern X-33 with the Speedmaster Z-33 (reviewed here). New Shoes for 2 Classic Omegas (pics!)
I've realized that straps are much more comfortable for me and I've used the arrival of the winter months as an excuse to buy two straps for my Omegas (Railmaster and 3570.50). I went with a dark brown Dunthorp Aviator Crocodile for the Railmaster and a Hirsch Carbon for the Speedy (a great combo IMHO). Also picked up a few OEM buckles that really seal the deal for me...What do you think?
