Swisstek Jet-Setter Watch Winner
Not a man of many words, Swisstek Jet-Setter limited edition watch winner Tim D. is certainly enjoying the watch he won in last month's aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer watch giveaway. According to him: "The Swisstek Jet-Setter Watch is classy with a touch of Fun. The bright colors and traditional stainless steel body is a good match. The fit and finish is good and the alarm and GMT feature is nice to have." Enjoy Tim, and thanks everyone for participating in the monthly giveaways.
Question for you Speedmaster experts...
I have a vintage Speedmaster. I'm not sure exactly how old, because I long ago misplaced the serial number, but it's got to be 30 years old if it's a day. Anyhow, it needs a complete overhaul. Also, when running the chronograph function, one press of the top pusher actuates the stopwatch function, and a second press resets the second needle to 12:00. The bottom pusher essentially does nothing. This is no doubt a result of it being dropped by a family member some years ago.My questions--What is a reasonable fee for the overhaul?-What is wrong with the movement, and can it be easily repaired? Thanks for your help!
the Patek factory automation
I just watched this video about the Pakek factory,I was surprised to see so many CNC machine's my understanding was everything was hand-made well a least very little automation happened but this is clearly not the casehttps://.youtube/watch?v=cQ52jEMv9qw
Would you buy a second hand Rolex now?
Prices of the grey market are kind of high now. My question is, is it a good idea to get a submariner now? Or wait till it cools Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Am I becoming a bracelet man???
So I’ve always preferred leather straps and NATO / ZULU straps over bracelets... Just never really liked bracelets... All my non-Rolex / Tudor watches I’ve bought on leather. Only one that came with a bracelet was the Kobold, but that has been on NATOS / leather since ~2009. Then enter the BLNR... Had it on the PCL for a year but never really felt comfortable for me. Then bought the SubC... Immediately swapped the glide lock to the BLNR and on a NATO the SubC went just like all my other watches. BBN on NATO, Tudor Sub on NATO (no choice as I bought that head only). So the collection lived on like this for a couple years... And I’ve stood strong by my choice... Say no to bracelets... Then I had to go and buy an Explorer... Was going to buy a Rubber B for it but figured I’d give it a minute. Then I went completely out of line and got a white dial DaytonaC. All the pictures I’ve seen the bracelet looks best (again potentially a Rubber B or Oysterflex).
