AP Boutqies Lighting
Who else thinks that lighting at AP boutiques make their watches look cheap and ugly? The SS models in particular. I literally have to cover the lights whenever I view watches over there. Lights are just too bright. Watches look best in indirect lighting condition IMO. What are your takes on this?I mean look at some of the photos people post at AD's and boutiques; ROO and RO look hideous sometimes.
AP Helipad NYC....
Took a quick helicopter flight yesterday courtesy of AP. It was a beautiful day and the views were amazing. Enjoy.... Afterwards met up with a friend for a drink who happened to have just picked up his A series Jumbo from the boutique after service. Mine is in the front.
Not supposed to use the chrono on vintage?
Hi all,I'm mainly a Rolex collector but really wanted to add a nice, patina'd vintage speedmaster to my lineup. I bought one at a very reasonable price from a very trusted seller on this forum.I wore it all day yesterday, and then at night started the chronograph to time something. I should mention that I use bezels/chronographs all day every day to time various medications. I went to a concert and at some point noticed that the watch was totally locked up, i checked and the watch was fully wound still. I also noticed a weird issue earlier when setting the time that the second had would keep moving when the crown was pulled out and I wasn't actively moving the hands. Is this normal?I immediately texted the seller (who has been great) and he basically said I shouldn't expect a vintage speedy chronograph to do anything but break the watch if I want to use it. He's had hundreds of vintage speedys and running the chronograph will break them nearly 100% of the time in his experience.I'm loo
5170g vs ALS 1815 Chronograph Boutique Edition
I noticed there was an old post on a similar topic, but now that ALS released the boutique edition what would you guys choose?I'm currently debating between these two pieces and any advice would be appreciated.
Warranty card for SD43
Hey folks- just trying to get some info as to why the one side of my warranty card for my SD43 looks a little bit different than others I've seen for sale. Specifically, I've seen 97220 and black appear below the model number on some of the other SD43s for sale. I'm guessing this has to do with what country or area the watch was purchased from and are indicators for color of the dial and such.
