Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Tourbillon Chronograph Set to Debut in Hong Kong
The first Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Tourbillon Chronograph watch, which featured a hand-wound movement and a groundbreaking case made of forged carbon and ceramics, had watch-world tongues wagging in its debut year 2010. This year, at the upcoming Watches and Wonders watch fair in Hong Kong, AP launches the next generation, with a brand-new automatic movement. The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Tourbillon Chronograph is the latest ultra-complicated interpretation of the Royal Oak Offshore, which debuted in 1993. Aside from my own color preferences, the dark blue dial sort of "hides" the chronograph functionality a bit more, making this look and feel more like a traditional MeisterSinger, in my opinion. Further confounding the expectations of a chronograph is the fact that there are no pushers flanking the crown.Therein lies another clever bit of design - while the Unitas 6497-1 provides the basic movement, MeisterSinger developed a column wheel chronograph module (with the a

ROO Question?
With the regular ROO rubber and deployment, is it possible to put a tang buckle on there, or is it made only for deployment? If so....can the diver strap and buckle fit on a ROO chrono?or is the survivor strap and tang the only route here?last question promise - any aftermaret rubber straps that are better than OEM that will fit with diver tang or aftermarket tang?thanks all!
