Baume & Mercier Clifton Chronograph Watches For 2014
When a brand such as Baume & Mercier says they're digging into their archives for new watches, you can't be quite sure what you might see. As one of the seven oldest watch brands, they've got quite an assortment of inspiration to draw from. This latest batch of vintage-inspired pieces will expand the Clifton collection that we saw introduced earlier this year.Drawing from what's labeled as the "golden era" of the 1950s, these new automatic Clifton chronographs will be formally introduced at SIHH in January. Intrinsically, the three are mechanically the same - 43mm stainless steel case, ETA 7750 movement (decorated and visible through the case back), sapphire crystals, and a 50m WR rating, to mention some of the highlights. Richard Mille RM 055 Jackie Chan Watch For The Dragon Heart Foundation
As a special one-off piece Richard Mille is making this RM 055 JC watch for charity. It will be auctioned off on September 14th in Beijing as part of the brand's continual push to capture more of the Chinese market. Who better than to do it with Jackie Chan? The watch will officially be called The RM 055? JC Jackie Chan's Dragons' Heart Foundation. I wanna little dragon's heart in my life, I hear it is really tasty with BBQ sauce.Chan has worked with watch brands before. I believe there was something with Piaget, and here I discussed a limited edition IWC watch that he worked on as well. This one-off piece has the logo of the Dragon's Heart Foundation on the dial, which has been sorta of integrated with the design of the hands. The colors are nice, and you can still see much of the watch underneath. The RM 055 has a tourbillon based manually-wound movement with the time, power reserve indicator, and torque indicator. Speedmaster pro vs 57??? Which to get first?
Having a real tough time choosing here...love them both, want them both, can only get one at this time, the other will have to wait. Leaning towards the Speedy pro, (sandwich, love to see the movement) but the 57 is so freaking cool!!! What do you all suggest? Thanks!
